That’s on DeWine and Trump will tell him that.
I know some republicans never grew up, but this isn’t “it’s never going to happen to me; I’m invincible” territory.
In other words, people aren’t driving the car here. Covid-19 is.
Psychobillie is a subgenre of Rockabillie so I would guess the former.
Well, after a scary movie like that, a couple cold ones do help calm the nerves…
Has anyone shouted the obvious: Anywhere from 25 to 50% of people with active COVID-19 are ASYMPTOMATIC??
And this guideline still is only going to test “symptomatic” people and contacts of COVID-19 tested-positive people, going forward?
How long is it going to take to get enough test kits, swabs, reagents, and people set up for this initial testing?
How long is it going to take to develop a protocol for contact testing and training those people (estimated to be 100k to 200k people) to do the work? And who is going to work in the labs, that are now already behind?
Oh, yeah, details. F’ details. Lets just get 'er done. What a waste of time and treasure. Meanwhile how many **more **people are continuing to GET the disease, and how many more people are dying every single day?
Link?
Republicans are quite predictable these days. Sadly.
That 14 day downtrend can be easily arranged by local authorities…
Republicans who want/need to see Trump reelected.
The number 632,656 on that page is in the column for cumulative tests, not yesterday’s. If you subtract yesterday’s positives, from today’s you get 30,183 positive new cases yesterday. Which is horrific in its own right.
(from the site: Cumulative record of our daily totals. Each day’s total is generally as of 4 pm ET that day, so data that comes in from states after that cut-off will usually show in the next day’s total. We do occasionally delay our release if it appears that a large state report is about to come in just after 4 pm ET.)
We all know how this will end. His zombie supporters will run out and start the next new wave of cases. Democrats continue our distancing and let the Republicans deal with their consequences. Stay safe everyone.
from the article: “If you’re not sick and you don’t know anyone who has died, it’s natural to say, “Why are we doing this? Why can’t we go back to work?”
Well it’s rather like saying in WWII, if you’re not Jewish and you don’t know anyone who is Jewish who has died in concentration camp, it’s natural to say “Why are we fighting in Europe? Why can’t we stay out of it?” And lots of people did right up until the time that we were attacked by Germany’s ally.
I was originally skeptical about DeWine, then I was happy with what he was doing…now I am back to skeptical. His idea about testing being important was non-existent today. We will see.
What he was saying today didn’t sound anything like what the general statement from the coalition of Midwest governors said.
Ohio has not had declining cases (it has been flat), so I don’t know how he meets stage one in two weeks.
Ask and ye shall recieve…
Even with takeout, we have restaurants failing here as our economy relies on tourism, which is gone. Restaurants are lucky to pull a 10% margin, as we don’t have enough people in town to support all those restaurants, and the wait staff is home, broke and not able to buy food period.
Hmmm. Just what we’ve been told.
Depends on your state government.
In Massachusetts, for example, for two weeks now establishments with liquor licenses have been allowed to offer wine and beer with meals (take-out and delivery).
This may be reason enough to hope that the pandemic is never officially declared over.
I think that his action was admirable, and squirrel/nut.
you again got over, because the guy who did the aforementioned, also decided to embrace his inner Trump.
I have said it before (much more than once)…
donald j trump is everything my old school republican father (who died in 1995) taught me NOT (emphasis on NOT) to be as a man when I was but a lad. Now my dad did not use trump as the example but donnie’s characteristics are exactly what my dad railed against
Greed
laziness
overeating
anger
lust
pride and
envy
One other was to be true and loyal to one’s spouse and follow one’s marital vows. I have kept mine. And my marriage is solid. As opposed to donald who cheated on his third wife when she had a new born baby. I could rant on but I’ll leave it there.
