30% would still say the city had it coming.
They’re acting on Trump’s authority. No laws limit them. Trump can close the airspace of a foreign nation, unilaterally. Trump can murder people on the high seas. Trump can pardon convicted drug kingpins. Trump can sign crypto deals with foreign powers while holding office. Trump can raze historical buildings without permits. Trump can order political foes harassed, bankrupted and put in mortal peril at his whim. Trump can keep prosecutors in office, with their title, after courts have ruled their appointment illegal. Trump can order Congressionally mandated funding stripped from Federal agencies, and then close those agencies or Cabinet departments, despite their existence being Congressionally mandated by law.
People really need to stop wondering by what legal right Trump does things. He isn’t bound by our laws. Extrajudicial killings on the high seas, to no legal detriment, is proof of that. If you can murder someone and nothing happens, are you bound by laws?
What would that incel feel seeing a demonstrator dressed out like he is in body armor and carrying an AR-15 and a grenade launcher? Would he feel so “all powerful” then knowing all he hasta do is fart loudly resulting in a grenade in his teeth?
Still worthwhile to identify the laws they are breaking because Trump won’t be around to protect them forever. And, unless they get a pardon, many of these crimes will still be within the statue of limitations in 2029 and beyond.
Investigation and prosecution of all Trump regime lawbreaking must be a litmus test for 2028 Dem presidential hopefuls.
It’s the Stanford Prison Experiment, except that instead of being passive observers, the leaders are actively encouraging the worst behavior.
I disagree, at least in terms of a centerpiece message. We TPM’rs are more focused and aware of the criminal behavior, but I don’t believe prosection is what most voters want to hear. They want to hear about how Dems will improve their lives, make living more affordable, make health care more accessible and affordable. Focus on what voters want.
An economic message along with fear of immigrants is what put Trump in the White House. Let justice be served in the more normal and neutral fashion if we can get a Democrat in the White House.
I did no such thing.
And the “nation” did not either.
Yeah, sure, it’s “reckless.”
Their dedication to duty keeps them oxygenated, just like Nelson’s zeal for king and country kept him warm.
Also pay close attention to the verbal jiu jitsu move there by the weapons makers (and their corporate counsel), as they pivot from “less than lethal” (meaning “it might hurt but it won’t kill you”) to “less lethal” (meaning “it will kill you a little bit less”).
You know, like being only a little bit pregnant.
