Trump International Hotel, which is owned by President Donald Trump and currently overseen by his son, Eric Trump, is seeking rent relief from the General Services Administration (GSA) amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
The company wants the GSA to “just treat us the same” as other federally owned buildings that could also be seeking help at this time, Trump told the Times.
“Whatever that may be is fine,” he said.
“Just treat us the same” is Eric’s version of Daddy’s “treat us fairly”–which is to say, “Privilege us at the expense of others (or the Truth, or what have you).”
Oh right, first giving millions of relief to small businesses worth millions and now this. And, BTW, does anyone call a small business one that has 50 chains? Come on this is frickin insane.
Maybe the Murderer-in-Chief will tell the GSA to treat a business in DC the same way he treats other Blue areas, i.e., with a big “fuck you!”
And maybe I’ll get a unicorn for my next birthday (assuming the Trump Pandemic or the Trump Depression doesn’t kill me before then).
It’s a shame that we don’t have an actual Trump Bingo game or betting pool going, because this was as predictable as the sunrise. It was only a matter of what day it would happen. (And don’t forget the Tweet about Iran this morning. How happy will he be if he gets to have pressers about Iran instead of Covid?)
See, Eric, since you’re stupid I’ll spell it out. The whole concept of a conflict of interest is based on the idea that it doesn’t allow for the disinterested objectivity that makes fairness possible. We don’t have judges pass sentence on their own children; we didn’t, until recently, ask people involved in a particular industry to regulate that industry. We do now, because many of us are as stupid as you and voted to allow that to happen. But tell you what: Let’s treat you the way any other crime family would handle it, since that’s what you are. Business is bad? Fuck you, pay up.
OT and with no skepticism toward our mayor’s good news…
… though I fear it’s somewhat of an outlier.
Mayor Turner does go on to jab at the ludicrous idea from Gov Abbott about ‘reopening malls’ albeit with ‘curbside service’. How would that work? Like call up JC Penney and ask them to bring out 3 pair of jeans to try on in the parking lot?
