In Arizona our background checks take all of 10 minutes+ a form you fill out. I would not call it “strong” as trump did. And another thing, I could buy an AK-47 and ammo and then drive to the nearest bar and have that rifle slung over my shoulder and not be breaking any laws. It is legal to walk into a place that serves alcohol and carry your gun in plain sight. I content that is not smart. But it is the law here. All hail the wild west.

Trump says it is mental illness that makes a mass murderer. Well, based on his logic trump should never be allowed to have a gun because he has said he could shoot someone on 5th ave and not lose votes.

Seriously he seems to realize he needs to get a few votes beyond his mouth-breather base or he won’t be president much longer. Simply getting universal background checks wouldn’t have done him a bit of harm. Background checks, buy Greenland, it’s all good, just something to make a splash. But then the vultures came flapping along to tell him no, he can’t do background checks. And that was that.

Been volunteering to shoot our small towns protest marches since the Dotard was elected. Mostly for documentation to national groups. Isn’t my kind of photography either, but, like you, I’ve found it a way to be engaged, and the people are so positive even in their protest it makes me feel all is not lost.
I’ve started stetting a phone up on my tripod on a corner to take video of the whole march, and use my DLSR to take shots of everyone in the march turning the corner. The pictures get posted individually, so people who want copies of themselves and their friends can go download them.
Too disabled to march with them, so this is my contribution.

This is the party who fell one vote shy of repealing everyone’s health insurance. Senator McCain made Rump so mad when he cast that vote, that the Navy felt compelled to cover the name of the USS John McCain in Japan, lest the Commander in Chief fly off the handle upon seeing it while wishing Happy Memorial Day to the Japanese troops.
I can’t be the only one who remembers this stuff.
