I think Kayleigh probably comes out unscathed, she’s physically right at the top of the food chain wrt/ cv19. She can spread it around though and very well may have over the past few days.
Barr is a different matter altogether, and Christie’s progression might be more than a bit bumpy as well.

I don’t know the protocols, but the CNN interviews have been framing it in interviews as “Has the White House contacted you?” The information about who has been in close contact would have to be provided by the White House anyway as the first step.
Whoever is supposed to be initiating contact tracing like that, whether it’s the WH or some other government agency, they’re not doing it. Either on purpose or through sheer ineptitude, and I’m betting on the latter. They’re all running around in a panic right now.

Trump and Hicks travelled with Ronna McDaniel, RNC Chair, all day Thursday and Friday, Sept 24 and 25. Ronna McDaniel did not show up at the Rose Garden event Saturday for Judge Barrett (and went into quarantine). No way she doesn’t show up for the Barrett event, unless she knows she has had serious covid exposure. Therefore, Trump and Hicks both knew that they had been exposed and seriously compromised on Saturday, Sept 26 before the Rose Garden event for Barrett.
Notice that they are very fuzzy about when McDaniel was told her family member had covid. Notice that she was hiding things because she got a positive result Wednesday, but did not disclose it until after Trump announced he was positive on Friday. If she was tested Wednesday and had symptoms on Wednesday., she likely had symptoms or was told of her exposure well before Wednesday. Again, clearly, McDaniel would have informed the WH, and the WH knew before Wednesday that Trump and Hicks had been exposed.
So, after knowing they were exposed to someone who had to quarantine, there is no way that both Trump and Hicks were not being tested daily, unless they intentionally wanted to avoid having to report a positive covid test before Tuesday’s debate.
Bottom line, Trump’s camp knew or should have known that he was a dangerous, potential carrier. They deliberately exposed Biden. I can not fathom how the media is not all over this attempt to infect, to essentially assassinate, Joe Biden. The facts are in the open, but our gutless media refuse to cover the truth.

WTF? Is this guy returning to the WH today or not? The markets close in 3 hours. If he’s staying another night they won’t announce that until after the closing bell. But if he’s heading home, you’d think they’d have said so. Or have I missed something?

I was talking to a friend of mine the other day who made an interesting point. She is in her 50s and has a number of serious health issues, but she is a single woman who has to do many things to keep her job and survive, so she is out and about often and she is observing all of the precautions she can as you can well imagine. She was at a store recently (mask wearing in public places is still mandated here in AZ) and some Trumper came in, maskless, and got into her space while she was shopping. She went to the store manager and asked why they were not enforcing the mask requirement and he told her that they were afraid of people getting riled up and causing a scene. She said she was sick of everyone allowing themselves to be bullied by these ignorant assholes. She feels very personally threatened by these situations.
She is right, of course. With direct encouragement from the president and the RW media, we have millions of these people who are being encouraged to unleash their stupidity upon all of us. They have kept the pandemic going at the highest level of any advanced democracy in the world through sheer idiocy.

If you get it at the police station, is it the cops’ responsibility to contact trace? You get my point… It should be somebody’s responsibility–unless DC is so heavily infected and spreading they’ve given up–but this just doesn’t seem like a job for The White House. In so many ways beyond just their abject incompetence at everything.
