It says a lot about the modern G.O.P. that the party is still solidly behind a man so obviously, grotesquely, not up to the job (although some rank-and-file Republicans now back an impeachment inquiry). But those of us who want America as we know it to survive should be grateful that Trump is so immature and incompetent. His character flaws are the only thing that gives us a fighting chance.

Eric Trump was Donald’s warm up act. Listening to him talk about Hunter Biden was stunning. He is a poster child for cozy corruption complaining about some other politician’s kid. The lack of self awareness was breathtaking.

There’s been mean spirited and bare knuckle politics in MN for a long time. The Minnesota nice thing is a myth people like to tell each other around here. The truth is people are dicks here the same way they are everywhere, only Minnesotans are more passive aggressive.

One has to wonder how this is at all attractive in a candidate. Has the nation debased itself so deeply that these rants pass for dialogue? Would we accept this nonsense from anyone else in any capacity? As someone said above, this would warrant firing, were this a business.

I wish no harm to Joe, don’t want to see him as trashed as a trumPP punchline, but I don’t want to see him as president. Joe can be named to that unspecified Cabinet position I mentioned.
