Trump Repeats ‘Witch Hunt’ Refrain After DNI Hearing

The only two questions I have are:

  1. When will Trump resign?
  2. Will he defect to, say, Russia or North Korea before formally resigning?

My guesses are:

  1. Before Christmas and
  2. Yes.

He says “pious.” They’re sitting there like pious.

What I heard was “pious,” not pirates. I think he meant to say they’re sitting up there like they’re pious or something, but he garbled it because he’s so angry.

It’s hilarious that he still thinks he can stop it through the courts, as if the damning information isn’t already out there. Not just the whistleblower complaint, but through his own loose tongue. The horse is out of the barn, the cat’s out of the bag, and all the chickens are coming home to roost.

The only intel I got from the hearing is Trump may plot anything with any foreign government that goes against our Constitution and claim executive privilege.

President Mini Stroke strikes again

Lindsay will think it is a fine idea and why would anyone question it?

See Bicoid below. I too heard “looking like pious… whatever you want to call them.”

Remember the source here; The Financial Times is a rock-ribbed Conservative Publication and has been since it was founded in 1888.
It is STILL printed on the Pink Paper that was used starting in 1893 to distinguish it from the similarly named Financial News (and also because it was cheaper than bleached newsprint at the time.)

A witch would be a huge improvement. A witch isn’t powerful enough to bury evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors on a “classified” server.

He meant chicken pot pies.

I seriously think the guy has been having mini-strokes lately with how slurred his speech comes out sometimes. Plus he just looks generally unwell. It would not be unheard of for a man of his age (and weight)

I know. I subscribe. The editorial page is shockingly moderate, though. I think it’s fantastic.

Moderate in the viewpoint of Americans.

British Conservatives generally are nowhere near as far right as the current versions in America.

But do you really think that he has ever used the word “pious” in his life? Does he even know what the word means?

If that is what he did say, he heard someone else say it first.

Does ‘maybe legally through the courts’ imply ‘maybe not through the courts’ or ‘maybe not legally’…?

I hereby declare September 26th to be IMPEACH LIKE A PIRATE DAY forevermore.

You’re welcome.

I disagree with this, because he says what “changed” is simply “not overthinking” and ignores the fundamental difference between “Russiagate” and what I’m going to call “Ukraine-clusterfuck”

Russiagate has numerous moving parts and pieces which were hard explain. There was no evidence that directly linked to Trump, sure we had his kids, his campaign director and a whole host of others, but no direct “Donald J. Trump did ‘X’ and here’s the proof” type evidence. And while the Mueller report was pretty damning, it stopped well short of where is needed to get.

The Ukraine scandal… while it’s very similar is still a horse of another color. It’s simpler to explain, we have direct evidence now that Trump did what he’s being accused of, there is a “smoking gun”. Hell, he’s basically confessed to the crime multiple times because he thinks that it helps him.

The two scandals are similar but the differences are far more stark, boiling this down to “Dems stopped overthinking” misses a whole lot of nuance.
