Trump Reminds Everyone That He Supports Perdue

Former President Trump on Tuesday tried to pump some energy into former Sen. David Perdue’s (R-GA) campaign amid the Trump endorsee’s poor performance in polls heading into the Georgia gubernatorial Republican primary race against incumbent Gov. Brian Kemp (R).

Trump said. “Most importantly, he can’t win because the MAGA base — which is enormous — will never vote for him.”

Come November and against Stacy Abrams, that’s what we’re hoping for!

Perdue thanked Trump on the call and told the former president, “You’re the best, boss.”

Dignity wraithing for the win.

Trump has a problem with rejection. Dude, Georgia just isn’t that into you!

“Brian Kemp has failed Georgia,” Trump said before pushing election fraud falsehoods. “He caved to Stacey Abrams before the 2020 Election and allowed massive Election Fraud to take place.”

Kemp has been a very weak Governorthe liberals and RINOs have run all over him on Election Integrity, and more,” Trump said. “Most importantly, he can’t win because the MAGA base — which is enormous — will never vote for him.”

The former president then reiterated **that Perdue has his “Complete and Total Endorsement.”

He will not let you down!” Trump said.

1 )Whoever wins tonight’s GOP Gubernatorial will bend the knee to Trump.

2 ) There won’t be a runoff.

Great. The Supremes are gonna use that to ban Sleepy Joe in 2024 based on his illegitimate Steal of the Presidency.

Democrats in disarray :scream:

Good plan, given that tomorrow, we’ll probably have a scathing rundown of how Perdue has failed him, and is so awful he managed to lose despite the most effective endorsement in the history of endorsing.

What this race shows is that most Republicans do not actually believe that Trump won the 2020 election. They go along with the Big Lie as a way of affirming their loyalty to their tribe but they know it is nonsense.

There are two loopholes in the Section 3 of the 14th amendment. First, the person participating in the insurrection must have previously taken an oath to preserve and protect the Constitution, as do federal and state office holders, judges, and the military. Second, Congress by a 2/3 vote in each chamber may remove this “disability” from a person or group of persons. It seems to me that MTG could be liable under the 14th amendment but only after a determination that she participated in an insurrection or gave aid and comfort to those who did. From this last phrase, MTG herself did not have to have invaded the Capitol on January 6 but her support of those who did looks like “aid and comfort” to me.

OT, but Trump-related:

I don’t know if any of the MAGA-aligned media are covering the Durham trial of Sussmann–if they aren’t though, Marcy Wheeler is making it very clear why they aren’t.

Yeah, Marcy has been hot on Durham’s tail. I shipped her over some $$ to help offset the cost of trial transcripts she needs while she winkles out every bit of misbehavior of Durham and his crew. It’s an appalling travesty costing taxpayers way too much.

There’s a giant gateway through that on top of the loopholes: the federal standard for insurrection is having taken a commission in an opposing armed force (eg. the confederate army), or conviction of sedition or insurrection in a federal court. Nobody alive today meets that standard.

I often ponder what the U.S. will be like once Trump is dead and buried.

As was once said of Huey Long:

“When he was gone it seemed that a beneficent peace had fallen on the land.”

Rexford Tugwell

We’ll see.
