Donald Trump was already more dangerous than many of us realized, but he will soon become even more dangerous. The objective of the game has changed for him. Up till now he has been focused on using his money and star power to bend, flaunt or go around the rules of the system. However, now that the system has formally indicted him, that is no longer enough. It is no longer sufficient for Mr. Trump to game the system for his advantage: he now has to destroy it (or at least severely damage it) to survive. He has no respect or affection for any of society’s major institutions, and doesn’t care who he hurts or how much damage he causes. The closer the trials or potential convictions become, the more extreme he will become. He is fighting for his personal survival: nothing else. We are in for a wild ride.

We are now actually talking about a fucking 3 year delay. Doesn’t matter if the conversation is universally negative, the turd has been dropped into the punch bowl. You can try and dip your cup in an unpolluted part of the bowl but that will only work for a while. Eventually all the punch will be fouled because of its presence. It’s there and there’s no taking it out. Now the conversation is about cleaning the punch bowl. And we’re still talking about it. This is how sick people win. Because sane people keep trying to make sense of insanity, They count on it.

This more reasonable schedule— equal to the government’s time spent investigating —will allow this case to proceed in an orderly fashion, with both parties having a fair opportunity to review all material information, advance appropriate motions, and apprise the Court of relevant legal issues. ( Narrator : This is a hilarious premise on its own, but the fact that it ignores all the Trump-caused delays in the investigation, such as his frivolous and unsuccessful assertions of privilege, is extra special.)
This is certainly ridiculous, and hilarious on one level.
I’d just add that considering he was responsible and one
of the masterminds of the insurrection, I hardly think
he needs much time to prepare. The only thing he
needs to discern is how much of the plot has the
government discovered and will put in evidence during
the trial.

Trump’s complaint is that the special counsel is proposing dates for the Jan. 6 case that conflict with dates already set in the Mar-a-Lago case – and he wants Cannon to haul prosecutors into court and force them to explain themselves.
I’m almost certain the next nasty little missive sent to
Judge Chutkan will be from mean girl Cannon. But it’ll
be from having had too many champagne spritzes at
