In the extraordinarily unlikely event that I’m ever in charge of hiring government officials, I’ll consider “Trump called me a disgrace” to be a very high recommendation for the job.
Trump has never been a fan of competence.
He’s like the wicked witch offering Snow White an apple.
“A disgrace to IGs?”
I can understand Trump using the abbreviation for Atkinson’s title. Inspector General is one of those odd plural form nouns: Inspectors General.
In Trump’s titular case, he is lumped in with a select group called Mothers Fucker.
He does realize this is illegal right? (Not that any charges will happen but it makes a lawsuit a slam dunk)
While he can fire anyone he wants, he legally can’t do it for retaliation, which he just admitted to.
It would be like firing someone in an at will state and when asked why? “You’re old.”
So RIGHT!
He is the prototype Bizarro President from the DC Comics Universe: “Me do everything for me, not care about Country!
Me fire everybody, start war, WIN ELECTION FOREVER!”
(Reposted elsewhere)
Or integrity.
This is like having a killer get off because the jurors were all members of his family, then having the power to fire the people who prosecuted him.
And you can be sure the next IG he appoints will know to deep six any complaints that involve Fat Nixon.
Nobody want to see 45* in anything but handcuffs and an orange jumpsuit.
Now we get maw’s trailer!
An IG is a disgrace and got fired because he properly does his assigned job.
A president was impeached because he improperly did his job, broke the law multiple times in the process, lied, blocked the Congressional investigation of his actions, prevented a response to 72 Congressional subpoenas and kept his job because of 52 spineless republican senators that president could buffalo.
This is the state of justice in America
Want to be called “the worst” by Trump?
Simply do a good job and tell the truth.
Trump will start doing really horrific things once he’s certain all the patriots are gone.
He faces certain political defeat in November, which almost certainly means not just loss of power but also complete personal ruin and prison. There is nothing he won’t do to prevent that.
Every single day, he runs down the Narcissistic Personality Disorder checklist. Every day he shows he is incapable of any behavior other than those that characterize the disorder in its most malign and dangerous form. Every day he shows signs that it’s getting worse and worse.
And every day, the press contorts itself into pretzels to pretend it doesn’t notice, refuses to acknowledge it, persists in treating it as if it’s a matter of “character” or “trait” or “quirks,” and that, anyway, the cause of his behavior is irrelevant to their job of just reporting on what it is. Every day, the fail to report the important news that the President of the United States displays signs-and nothing but signs-of a serious, uniquely disqualifying, mental disorder that literally makes him the worst possible person to head a government in a crisis.
President Donald Trump addressed his [Friday night firing] of the inspector general for the intelligence community Michael Atkinson, calling him a “disgrace to IGs.” “I thought he did a terrible job — absolutely terrible,” Trump said at the Saturday coronavirus task for press briefing. Calling the complaint “fake,” Trump expressed his outrage that he never met Atkinson in person.
Everything about BLOTUS is projection. He’s a “disgrace” to the office he holds, his performance is “absolutely terrible”, and he is a “fake”…an impostor…at everything he has ever done, because everything he has ever done has been a con. What is the value of a degree from Trump University? Would you put that on your resume?
“Frankly, somebody ought to sue his ass off,” Trump said.
Projection yet again. Yes, someone ought to sue BLOTUS’s ass to infinity and beyond. Perhaps criminal investigations, too.
Mango Mussolini has a darker soul that any human to ever hold the office of the Presidency of the United States of America. Michael Atkinson performed his duty to the letter of the law. The fact that his performance was inconvenient to a lawless pResident only increases the value of his action.
History will remember Covidiot-45 as the evil, pig-headed willfully-ignorant poisoner of democracy that he truly is. I suspect there will be many trials and tribulations for the monstrous jackass once he leaves office. We will see his taxes. We will see the transcripts and records of phone calls and conversations that have been inappropriately filed on a Top Secret server. We will learn of the true cost of all his golfing sessions and Secret Service personnel boarded at his properties. We will learn of his graft and corruption in complete detail. We will learn of all the details submitted to grand juries during the time of the Mueller investigation. And then I hope that United States Attorney General Kamala Harris will prosecute his ass into oblivion and beyond. This intolerable corruption must not stand.
“And I know disgrace,” he added. “I know more about being a disgrace than anyone.”
Speaking of disgrace…
But not fast enough.
Chump says about the IG…“He never even came into see me”.
Yeah, he legally couldn’t. That is the whole point of an IG or a whistleblower…they don’t run straight to the perp and spill their guts so he can evade and retaliate.
Unlike Bill Barr, who ran straight to Chump the second he caught wind of the whistleblower and told the entire Justice system to look the other way.
