Because Hoover would have all the goods on Trump and Trump would have to suck up to him.
trump is so dumb that he thinks no one will notice that his current effort to coerce the FBI into investigating his political opponent is a direct parallel to his attempt last year to coerce a foreign government into doing the same thing. He really doesn’t perceive object permanence.
“Spite politics” is the best description of his political philosophy that I have seen. I hope that Dem campaigns start calling his plans just that.
This kind of thing is really, really strong evidence on the he’s-really-that-stupid side of the question. It’s been obvious for years that if a thing works once, he’ll keep doing that thing, no matter how different the new circumstances are. If a thing randomly happened a certain way and that worked out, he’ll try to recreate that magic by insisting that thing happen again. He’s like the cargo cultists of the South Pacific after WWII who tried to bring back the vast supplies brought by the Japanese and American armies by building crude runways and control towers, carving headphones out of wood, and waving in airplanes that were never going to come. It’s magical thinking, and it’s pathetic.
That’s not what Giuliani and the rest are implying. The Ukraine Burisma stuff didn’t stick, so now they’ve moved on to saying there are photos of underage girls or actual child porn on the laptop hard drive. It’s connected to the Qanon stuff about how high-level Dems are all pedophiles operating a secret network.
That would be the NYC field office of the FBI.
You know, the one totally corrupted by Rudy Giuliani and his Russian Stooges?
The one that broke the Anthony Weiner Laptop with Hillary E-Mails story against the explicit instructions of the Director of the FBI, James Comey? Thus forcing Comey to hold his “press conference” after the NYC Field Office had ALREADY sent copies of the emails to the Republican Committee chairmen of the House Intelligence and House Judiciary Committees?
That FBI office?
No, but we would have the most corrupt head of the FBI working with the most corrupt Attorney General. Sure that’d work out well for us.
And remember the axiom: every Trumpista accusation is in fact an admission of guilt. Every time.
Ouch. That’s really going to hit home out in the hinterlands.
Yeah, OK, tell it to Denny Hastert and Gym Jordan…
Trump’s election was saved when the FBI did NOT reveal its investigation into Russian influence back in 2016.
The FBI knows this, and I don’t think they’ll jump in to help Trump by such an announcement, even if they are looking into something about Biden and his son’s hard-on drive.
I hope so. I got a little chill from watching it.
Please do it. Go ahead fire the Director. It is urgent and critically important that everyone in America encourage Preshitident Skanky Turdface to follow through with his worst instincts right away.
So help me out here:
Where are these Lincoln project ads showing up so that more than just politically inclined people like us are seeing them? I don’t watch enough TV to know if they’re getting air time on the national stage.
There were commentators who worried at the beginning he would try to be a good president and become popular. That fear was never realized. It never occurred to him, I think it literally never occurred to him, to ask what would help Americans and then do that.
I generally agree, but this time he is using the US Government to actively help him. The DHS, FBI, etc. stand up beside his minion DNI. Granted only the DNI is spouting trump’s nonsense, but the FBI is standing there saying nothing just to try to keep his job because Wray knows it only gets worse from here.
YouTube. I subscribe to their channel, which has, besides ads, discussions and other stuff:
Some of their ads are designed to run in a single state, i.e., against specific Senate or House candidates.
My understanding is that they are doing lots and lots of airing in the DC area just to get under BLOTUS’s orange skin.
Alternate history, where he got a bipartisan infrastructure bill passed and took coronavirus seriously in public as he did with Woodward. Why he didn’t do that would take more shrinks than exist in the universe to even come close to an answer…
It’s a good ad and a great theme, but I wonder if that Sam Elliott sound-alike accent and vocal timbre works for rural folks. Maybe a little too pandering? I’m not rural folk so I can’t tell how that comes off.
The farm is on YouTube too.
Unfortunately, most of America is not. There are 678,000 subscribers to that channel - not a whole lot of coverage. It’s sad that they couldn’t get enough support to start showing these nationally.
