Trump Lawyer (Wisely) Refused Ex-POTUS’ Demand To Say All Govt Docs Had Been Returned

Ow, that makes my spine hurt just to watch.

Wouldn’t these be exactly the documents that Loose Cannon has forbidden DOJ from looking at?

In the category of “I don’t get it . . . “.

Why would any lawyer, even a very incompetent one, represent Trump, knowing that: a. He won’t hesitate to hang you out to dry by lying about anything and everything, and b. He will not pay you for your services (ever!) when the bill comes due? Is this all charity work?

One of these times, he’s sure to put a crack in that ice.

Just as surely as there are people stupid enough to vote for Chiselin’ Trump (and even to give him money!), there are lawyers stupid enough to represent him.

Yup. Got the stupid part, I just don’t understand the fundamental lack of concern for their own self-interest.

Sounds like the FBI may want to have a little chat with Alex.

If they hadn’t already.

Maybe he was one of the “inside” people that made the August warrant possible?

what are her measurements? I’ll only tune in if I know a commentator’s measurements

Not to mention asking them if they have a need to know.

According to reporting of the June 3rd meeting at MaL, Bobb as the designated custodian of records provided a signed certification of the (allegedly complete) return of records. But the list of particulars began with “Based upon the information that has been provided to me…” so she clearly has an escape hatch from a making false statements charge.

There were at least SEVEN appointed to the position of “custodian of records”. It bugs me when these people are presented as if they were the sole custodian.

When the president can just grab handfuls of classified documents and cart them home without even a signing out/tracking procedure, we are definitely talking about an imperial presidency. The minute I understood (to my complete disbelief) that NOBODY apparently knows exactly what documents Trump absconded with, I realized this was one more indication of how hopelessly incompetent our traditions and standards are against an outright thief and liar.

Does that make him the perfect passive participant?

Maybe not, but I have no doubt she’s going to flip at some point. She’s young and she probably doesn’t have the money to pay attorneys for years of litigation on her behalf. Plus, I doubt that DOJ really cares to ruin her life, especially since her biggest failing seems to be having taken on Trump as a client. Assuming she’d like to keep her law license and move on with her life, she’ll flip.

I think they mostly do it for fame and GOP clout. I’m sure there are people who see them on TV defending Trump and will hire them believing them to be great lawyers since they work/ed for Trump. Plus, there seems to be an endless supply of people who think they’re smarter than everyone else and can manage Trump in a way that literally no one else can.

Bobb might not have fully appreciated that being convicted, incarcerated and disbarred will interfere with her career as a commentator at OANN.
That might take some time.
