The FBI’s removing 10 boxes of documents that, we can assume, they didn’t take into the building with them when they arrived . . . that’d be some pretty serious planting of evidence, I’d say.

The Wisconsin and Minnesota elections were ones to watch:
Ilhan is a member of the ‘squad’ and has been quite controversial, due to her heritage. She won, but the margin was quite close.
Evers in Wisconsin was unopposed, but Michels is the GQP candidate for Governor. I’m happy to say that Kleefisch was defeated, but by only five points. Michels is a Trump supported candidate. We will be far worse off than we were under Walker if this dope wins the governorship. It’ll take some time to know just how popular this guy is in the State - I hadn’t heard of him before, but I don’t get much Wisconsin news on this side of the State.

One benefit of Monday’s raid is that it showed just how wacked the response to his arrest will be.
Lot’s of yelling by the usual fascist Representatives, a few dozen magats turning out with their stupid flags, and not much else.
Please proceed Mr. Garland, if you are actually working on a prosecution.

I’m guessing that the FBI saved the emails that negotiated for the classified docs they eventually took. TFG apparently told them to “go fish.” After that, TFG’S claims of not knowing about or not having the docs is laughable.

Yes. Saw The Clash in 1981 as an impressionable teenager. Been lucky enough to have had “brushes with fame” meeting members of the band. Never met Joe though. Beyond the “myth of The Clash”, Joe was just a humble guy into all kinds of music.

I was following 538’s live blog yesterday, and the question of why Omar seems susceptible to primary challenges came up. The consensus (all speculation, I hasten to add–no one has surveyed either potential candidates or voters on this) was that women, rightly or wrongly, are perceived as being more vulnerable to challenges than men are; and that in Omar’s case, her race and religion and outspokenness re Israel may be contributing factors as well.
Omar will almost certainly win this fall, given her district’s heavy-Dem lean. But, IF that speculation has any merit, it’s a useful reminder that some allegedly enlightened people among us have some of the same built-in prejudices that we presume only more-conservative people have. Not that all Dems are faultless or should get a pass because of their affiliation, but this is just to say that we all have our blind spots.
