I think we can all agree on this…
Trump (or some minion) comes right out and says he’s punishing Canada for delusional “fentanyl trafficking”

More authoritarian than that. The point is to make all of us citizens fearful, that we can be next, if we don’t play along nicely.
Skipping even the most basic due process shit of verification of who a person is, and their ability to challenge that if in error in front of an impartial judge, that’s something aimed at all of us.
Speaking of whom.
Netanyahu to visit Hungary despite ICC arrest warrant
Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to visit Hungary later today, despite an arrest warrant from the international criminal court (ICC) putting him at risk while visiting states that are signatories to the court. The trip was announced by the Israeli prime minister’s office on Sunday.
Yesterday, Human Rights Watch urged Hungary to deny him entry, or carry out an arrest. Liz Evenson, international justice director, said“[Viktor] Orbán invitation to Netanyahu is an affront to victims of serious crimes. Hungary should comply with its legal obligations as a party to the ICC and arrest Netanyahu if he sets foot in the country.”
In November 2024 the international criminal court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu, Israel’s former defense minister Yoav Gallant and the Hamas military leader Mohammed Deif for alleged war crimes relating to the Gaza war.
The visit to Hungary will be Netanyahu’s second venture abroad since the warrant was issued. In February he met with US president Donald Trump in Washington. Neither Israel or the US are ratified signatories to the court.

Sell before the tariff induced recession hits and the markets really tank.
Swine.
So "The Fascist Thing on Four Wheels!"™ isn’t doing so well. Sad.
In other news, Putin’s Cock-holster has decided to sell the “Illusion” Islands, to raise funds to buy Greenland, which is not for sale.
“They’re not really good for anything,” he said. “They aren’t even connected to Alaska.”
Nice pair of shoes you have there!
Yes, the country has so many onerous burdens to be liberated from:
the rule of law; the strongest economy; the international reserve currency; a feared military; national elections; and so on and on.
And we are only a little less than 3 months into this administration.
Most of the ill effects (like 95%) have yet to be felt by the majority of people for sure.
Guessing the US is going to be lit anywhere from 3-6 months from now. And to be clear, not looking forward to any of it, even for schadenfreude value.
Donald Trump is a sociopath. Every other commentary or characterization is in support of that fact.
And what have we here?
Former acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker was confirmed by the Senate as U.S. ambassador to NATO in a 52-45 vote.
Seems like every half-wit who might have some dirt on Kraznov is getting a sinecure.
Musk at his vote-buying rally last Sunday:
“We’ve got to pull a rabbit out of the hat – next level. We actually have to have a steady stream of rabbits out of the hat, like it’s an arc of rabbits flying through the air, and then landing in a voting booth.”
The arc of rabbits is long but it bends toward justice.
In other news, Judge Ho dismissed the federal charges against Eric Adams, but did so with prejudice (they can’t be refiled), so that Adams can’t be TCF’s stooge going forward. As I recall, this is what Mr. Clement recommended.

The so-called “deferred resignation” offers for federal employees are illegal. The law permits only 10 days of administrative leave per year. How long is it going to take to get a court decision on this?
Well, at least our allies will finally get proper toilets.
