“This is a case about swinging dicks,” began 9th Circuit Judge Lawrence VanDyke in his dissent.  The case in question centered on the policy of two Korean spas in Washington state that allowed only “biological women” to use their services — or more specifically, barred trans women who had not yet undergone surgery. “…suggesting that VanDyke had hit home with his target audience. “.

The target audience starts with a capital “T”.

Riley’s Law: “Once you post transphobia, you never post normally again.”

Granted, we have no evidence this judge was ever normal.

So much concern for women and girls when it comes to the trans stuff. The rest of the time, they are third class citizens. Raped? Don’t care, your fault, you’re lying. Abused by your husband? Doubtful. Stalked? What can we do? Paid less? Just the economic environment. Pretty? Big boobs? Nice ass? You’ve got the job. Impregnated when raped? It’s your problem. AND trans people are just people. They are not trying to piss anyone off. They are ot trying to upend anyone’s life or cheat at sports. When we start seeing trans people committing crimes like cis-men do, I’ll be a little more concerned.

Not necessarily. Muslims, Atheist, Gays, and POC will also be included.

Democrats who read the “Turner Diaries” see a dystopian novel about a future race war which leads to the systematic extermination of non-whites and Jews worldwide. Maga Republicans who read the same novel see an instruction manual.

“Richard Grenell, the Trump ally installed to lead the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, will step down after just over a year at the helm of the cultural institution — ending a turbulent tenure marked by staff departures, artist cancellations and plummeting ticket sales.”

And they all fall down…

Kinda sorta reminds me of an opinion by the supreme court of one of our southern states, from, IIRC, the 1930s and published in West’s Southeastern Reporter. It was a decision affirming a conviction for indecent exposure, and the good justices, certainly pillars of the legal community on good days, got a little carried away and offered up a sort of porno-description of the appellant’s privates.

Also noteworthy was the fact that the volume of SE in question was easy to find on the law library shelf because it stood out among the adjacent volumes, being slightly discolored from all the, um, handling, and of course it would open easily to the opinion in question. One didn’t have to remember the case name or cite.

Judge VanDyke

As irony would have it his last name is pronounced “Van Dick.”

WaPo is not allowing Comments on at least some of its stories.

“Trump judge publicly shits himself to demonstrate his worthiness for a Trump Supreme Court appointment”
