Carroll responded, “This is not the kind of attention I enjoy,” as her lawyer rose to object. Speaking over both her lawyer and Habba, Carrol continued: “But once I spoke up—I wanted people to know that a woman can speak up and win a trial. I wanted people to know. It was a major victory, and I wanted people to know. I don’t want to be quiet now. I’m 80. It’s not right to try to make women be quiet. It’s been going on for too long.”
Yeah, no. He won’t suffer any consequences for trampling all the norms in court, Habba hasn’t.
It’s all just damage setting anyway, he’s already been found liable.
I just hope the jury knows the inane multiple limits on punitive damages.
I’d go $100m in damages and $300m in punitive as he won’t shut the duck up for anything less.
And good for Carroll whacking him again. Though of course she’ll be murdered by a MAGAt if the damage award is big enough

So, what do 'ya think Trump promised Ron to drop out and endorse him? Cash payment? A VP nod? Secretary of Homeland Security so he can beat up immigrants? He’d be perfect for it.

It is kind of amusing to me that billionaires, believing a white knight in shining armor is out there somewhere to save them from Trump and Biden, are more naive and gullible than a three-year old who believes in Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny.
There may still be enough never-Trumper donors who will want a backup if Trump croaks before the convention, or if he’s a convicted felon by then. That might keep her in the race as the only legit alternative if he’s taken off the stage somehow.
On the other hand, it would be humiliating for her to lose her home state of SC, so I guess the odds are that she drops out after Trump squashes her like a bug tomorrow.
I find it perversely fascinating that E. Jean Carroll has shown more courage against tfg than the entire Republican Party, including people who served under him and think he’s awful.
A big wall with parapets and machine gun towers. Oh and strings of buoys on the Mississippi. Nothing succeeds like success. Also crater all the runways.
