O my goodness I wish we could stop discovering, for the nth time, that Trumpworld’s stated and nominally legitimate reasons for something are not their actual reasons. We need to recognize what has long been obvious: that these people are almost always speaking in bad faith. Whenever they state what sounds like a reasonable explanation for their actions, you can take it to the bank that they are lying.
This is not hard because they almost always also publicly state their real reasons–thus Trump explaining that the federal government’s assault on Minneapolis is all about “retribution.”
They’re in Minneapolis because they want to hurt and terrorize their political opponents. Almost all the rest is bad faith noise.
It might be time to start buying guns and ammo for self-protection.

“A cabal of evil men and women.” To what end? Government demands the consent of the governed. If you look back at Nazi Germany, you find that most of the population bought the state’s line. The same can be said for the old Soviet Union. The same for modern China. When I look at what is going on I see the people pulling their consent from Trump.

Vance is not Trump. He is an opportunist but he is not insane. He has to realize that to be seen as a great good president, he just has to stop the madness.
Miller is a very unique sort of low life. He is tied to Trump like a permanent Hemorrhoid. Trump goes, he goes. No one tolerates him like Trump does. Because as bad as Miller is, Donnie is worse. I bet if Vance takes office, the entire cabinet blows away.
