And what will McConnell do when the senate does not get the majority? He has been pretty cocky lately.
TFG has been crying and throwing tantrums for over a year now. His party throws each other under the bus every chance they get. This looks and sounds like a party in complete disarray.
To be fair, no-one could ever have predicted this.
Wellllllll…we knew Trump was gonna try every manner of fuckery when he decided not to go to Mar a Shitto for New Year’s Eve and instead remain “working” in Washington, D.C.
Well, alarmingly, the insidious orange ooze may have been right about this. God knows the Trumpist Party is steamrolling right into such a scenario for 2024? Or as I like to call it, potentially our last presidential election.
So the Senate leadership knew Trump was working on an illegal scheme to overturn the will of the people, and sat by and did nothing about it. Not surprising…the question is if that makes them members of the conspiracy or just witnesses. And, it really calls into question their participation in the impeachment proceedings…they really should have recused themselves from it at the very least.
This thing just keeps growing, I wonder if there are any senior members of the Republican party who weren’t involved, or at least informed, about all of the maneuvering going on.
Recused themselves from what? Voting on objections? Reps and senators are supposed to have biases that inform their voting. There is no standard or expectation of recusal.
I think that’s the right supposition.
And if they knew, they were involved.
