The Weekend’s Biggest Losers If you spent the weekend enjoying Spring, you’ll be forgiven if you’re a tad disoriented this Monday morning. Since we last convened Friday: Viktor Orban conceded defeat in Hungarian elections. President Trump decided to shut down the Strait of Hormuz for Iran. Except the building is granite - and it will be destroyed - and won’t sparkle like he wants. Yes, it’s an ugly building. This won’t help. This time, everyone is telling him. He doesn’t care.

Trump revenge syndrome -
the Justice Department has opened an investigation into the National Football League over potential anticompetitive practices? Other than this being the dementia-fueled fulfillment of Trump’s revenge arc against the NFL for never letting him own a team and publicly humiliating him in an antitrust trial 40 years ago.
The New York Times’ editorial board laid into Donald Trump Sunday, hammering his war in Iran as significantly weakening American power and influence.
Before I read MM… I’ve been curious about why David Axelrod had a private, “personal” meeting with Pope Leo. Maybe they knew each other somehow in Chicago? Since Axelrod is Jewish, religious devotion wouldn’t have lain behind the visit. I vaguely remembered that Axelrod and his wife have a disabled child. Anyway, I learned this from his Wikipedia page:
In June 1981, they had their first child, a daughter.[21] She was diagnosed with epilepsy at seven months of age.[22] Axelrod describes Lauren as having had brutal seizures, requiring a constantly changing regimen of medications for some time. This left her developmentally disabled, but nevertheless mainstreamed in school.[21] For a few years after high school, the family struggled to find programs that would keep her happy and fulfilled, but were able to place her in Misericordia, a large dormitory-style group home in 2002, where she leads an active life.[21] As of 2021, Axelrod advocates for a flexible, mixed approach to group homes that support environments for people like his daughter, in contrast to the common approach of exclusively moving toward smaller group homes.[21]
Follow the Misericordia link:
It is run by the Sisters of Mercy and operated under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Chicago.

But a blockade, experts say, is an act of war that requires an open-ended commitment of a significant number of warships.
“Trump wants a quick fix. The reality is, this mission is difficult to execute alone and likely unsustainable over the medium to long-term,” said Dana Stroul, a former senior Pentagon official during the Biden administration now at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy.
The U.S. military has not offered basic details yet about the blockade, including how many U.S. warships will enforce it, whether warplanes will be used and whether any Gulf allies will assist in the effort. Central Command declined to respond to requests for comment.
While this meme is bad enough, remember Trump did not draw it. So where is the outrage at the person who did?
That guy looks like Jeffrey Epstein.

Just one moment: where’re the windows of all the offices Trump, Org. will be able to rent, and collect management fees for, in that edifice?
My thoughts:
Dotard will blame JV Dance for Orban’s loss, then express shock when he finds out he can’t fire the upholstery fetishist.
