Trump II Sends Democracy Worldwide Into a Tailspin

The U.S. Decline Is Destabilizing Democracy Globally

[T]he USA’s unique geopolitical and economic place in the world means that its ongoing crisis has had, and will continue to have, severe consequences far beyond the country’s borders.

[T]he United States has become the most prominent example and accelerator of the disturbing trend toward a belittled and diminished Rule of Law. Indeed, the negative trajectory of democracy in the United States across the board stands out as a serious concern in the global story covered in our report.

To quote Guy Clark, “Now there’s a pride of lions you can draw to.”

The shambling Pustule is more than just a national embarrasment. But I repeat what others have said for years.  :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

“Under @POTUS Trump, DHS is restoring the basic principle that immigrants must be able to support themselves,” DHS announced earlier this summer, before the lawsuit was filed. “We are reaffirming the requirement of self-reliance, protecting public resources, and ending policies that encouraged dependency on hard-working American taxpayers.”

So, should it be possible some wannabe migrant will experience a spell of unemployment, we believe it’s in the national interest to deport them now, before they should inflict that burden on our country.

Has a U.S. president ever worked this hard to ruin an economy? His crap yesterday about nothing to fear from AI because we have a high IQ president and that is all we need might be the most epically stupid thing he has ever said.

AI, crypto and oil are coming for us and honestly it scares the crap out of me.

Wanted to post this right away. This bike path is 1 car width and there’s nowhere to go most of the time.

Here’s some video.

Couldn’t have predicted that this would be the response to the DEI bike path position.

ETA. Story is updated with footage showing the car slowing because there was a pedestrian. I guess it could just be a really bad mistake, but mostly I’m glad the pedestrian is OK.

Alito and Thomas should be removed from the court. In a just world that would be a thing.

The Supreme Court decision on the USPS rule suggests to me that Roberts, and maybe the Handmaid and Gorsuch, are starting to hear footsteps behind them. In 2025 and earlier this year, they seemed to be going with everything TSFF and his flunkies wanted. Lately, more of their decisions are going against him.

This comes two weeks after James Clyburn and four weeks after Hakeem Jeffries said publicly that they support Supreme Court reform.

Except they’re also not our friends. Just like Trump himself, the US, under his leadership, has no real friends. And that’s not good. Even a superpower needs friends and allies, as we’re seeing play out now.

WTF?

And in the video the car seem to be accelerating and going faster than the cars in the correct lanes.

I wonder what Alito’s opinions look like before his clerks have had the chance to type them in standard English. Are they scribbled on stacks of old notebooks with the blood of wrongfully convicted prisoners and miscarrying women he’s murdered, or does he dictate them as guttural howls and screeches?

Roberts, too. His wife brining in literal millions for placing former SCOTUS clerks creates the appearance of impropriety at the very least.

There could be malice behind that, but I’ve seen enough pictures and videos of cars driven up tramways or down pedestrian paths by distracted drivers or confused/cognitively impaired people that it could just be a day ending in ‘y’.

I don’t know, but he needs to be in jail.

My suspicion is that all the economic guardrails will be up until either the next Congress or the next administration are in place.

Then, the rails will be taken down and the entire mess blamed on whomever is in charge WHEN THE RAILS COME DOWN.

It will not, I repeat, NOT be blamed on the First Felon.

Hell, they may well still blame it on Biden, who may well be gone by then.

And DonOLD will trot out his defense being someone should have stopped him. When he disabled checks and balances, and this is where we end up.
Is all this worth it to Keep America White?

If you look at his entire life, it is apparent that he CAN actually be this wrong about just about everything. I know it is hard to believe that the destruction isn’t purposeful, but his only purpose is to enrich and aggrandize himself, and we just keep giving him bigger and more consequential tools to do this. This destruction of the country and the planet is just collateral damage in his quest to self soothe his black hole of an ego.

It really doesn’t sound like we’re prepared for this new era of warfighting, led by the heavy use of drones and other relatively cheap weapons. Moreover, it doesn’t seem like this adolescent president and SecWar, more interested in taunting and bullying our friends and foes alike, have the intelligence, foresight, or the patience to point our military in the proper direction.

He is the most catastrophically stupid president ever. The fact that he views “Low IQ” as the ultimate insult and constantly refers to his own “High IQ” is confirmation that his IQ is quite low (probably in the low 70s at best) and he knows it. He’s so stupid he thinks that saying he has a high IQ makes it so.
