You are right, of course, and I probably did not express my point clearly enough:
Trump is moving more to the posture that (1) he can alter the processes and procedures of Law and (2) he can Inveigle others to adopt that posture…Demagoguery present in both the earlier and later phases of his political life…but the latter more dangerous: Straight Demagoguery.

Raises an interesting point. He should plead the fifth in such a scenario. But this case involves his freedom and his very legacy as president. Given that plus his narcissism and innate rage, is he even capable of pleading the fifth in this particular case and keeping his mouth shut beyond that?
