President Trump is holding a press briefing at the White House, ostensibly on his administration’s response to the coronavirus pandemic. Trump’s press briefings, however, often go off script and become de facto campaign events.
Oh boy, back to “the cities are on fire, but we could stop it in a moment”.
Season 2 of the Trump press conferences still is worse, with lots of lying and made up statements. It’s going to fascinate people for decades, taking all of this apart and trying to understand how any Americans fell for it.
When asked if he has a problem with a strong woman of color in the presidential race, Trump said “not at all,” although he has repeatedly gone after Sen. Kamala Harris, the first Black and Asian American woman to appear on a major party’s presidential ticket — calling her “a mad woman,” and a “dangerous choice,” while suggesting that she was “disrespectful”…
First thought when I saw there was a press conference and looked at the time - damn, missed it. Second thought - thank goodness!. But then I see there wasn’t anything to miss, as usual, just condensed it down for us!
After reading Mary Trump’s account of the Trump family dynamic, I don’t feel quite so bad for Uncle Rob. He’s the one who was dispatched to tell her and her brother that they’d been screwed in Fred’s will, probably at the behest of Donald, who also tried to screw his other siblings. Reading about the way Rob treated Fritz’s seriously ill baby by withdrawing their health insurance was a real reminder of the scumminess Fred created in his family.
I’ll always think ETTD first about Donald, then about Fred.
This is true, but as I understand it, all the supporting cast that’s in the government are not. Consequently, Donnie’s campaign may be liable for wages paid for folks involved in these virtual rallies.
Really, though, I’d prefer if the major networks would just stop giving him free air time.
