What may be happening is the curtain for these business people is being pulled aside. They bought the fancy foot work and pretty little words. They oohed over the gold gilt and showy extravaganzas.
But now, simply by example, he is revealing through his legal process that his entire operation is built on incompetent clowns. Blatantly incompetent and willing to engage more of the same. Not someone you want to hang your future on.
The captains of business can protest all the want (after they got their tax breaks and regulatory rollbacks) but Admiral Trump is running the fleet into the icebergs at full speed. He will cause a second depression on his way out the door.
This could actually become fun to watch. I doubt Trump has any real interest in who controls the Senate, that’s McTurtle’s evil thing.
