Trump Endorses Sessions’ Rival | Talking Points Memo

It looks increasingly like Drumpf will flame out in the general: as Pelosi said, all we gotta do is wait for him to self-destruct.
If Mango Mussolini goes down in the general, there’s a good chance he’ll take the Dixiecrat’s dominance of the Senate with him. It only makes it richer if they’ve got knives out for each other.
Good riddance.

Yes.

I’m no fan of Sessions’ politics, but yes: all of this–Sessions’ being the first Senator to endorse Trump, Trump’s rewarding him with the AG position, Sessions’ doing his best (as a favor to Trump!) to keep undisclosed his meetings with Russians until Senate Dems called him out on it, then having no ethical choice but to recuse himself from investigations into Russia stuff–has to have been sticking in Sessions’ craw for a long time now. And now this tweet that says Tuberville won’t let MAGA/KAG or our country (read: Trump) down.

All of this is to say: Sessions knows stuff, too. He could, if he chose, make life difficult for Trump. But that will probably have to wait till after the election . . . if it comes at all (I suspect it won’t–loyalty, you know).

Sessions left behind whatever self respect he had when deciding to hitch his wagon to trump. He betrayed his oath of office in the service of trump. He stroked trump in every way at every opportunity - and trump treated him like shit. Yet Sessions continues to fawn over trump. It’s disgusting to see someone with so little spine. I cannot imagine anyone would vote for such a worthless coward.
This is true of every republican in Congress. They’re all “Little Jeffery Sessions” in their collective cowardice.

In other words, he fits the perfect MAGA/KAG (Dotard’s acronym, not mine) mold?

This is everything you need to know about why repub legislators consistently display such head-scratching cowardice and submission to the orange stain. His henchmen control all the RNC $$$ & voter lists. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/09/us/trump-campaign-brad-parscale.html

Why am I surprised by that? Of course he took over the money operation! The depth of corruption boggles the mind. I’m glad he’s taking republican’s money - they deserve each other.

That was my tongue in cheek reason for asking @khyber900. Political analysis vs. Trump’s track record that validates ETTD.

Sessions’ genuflecting in campaign commercials made Trump go for the main artery: Kick em hard when they’re grovelling . The really pathetic part is; Alabama Republicans can’t do any better that this: *Jeff-KKK-Sessions or Tubby-Ville-the-coach.

“It’s disgusting to see someone with so little spine. I cannot imagine anyone would vote for such a worthless coward.”

So the race comes down to spineless, weasel Sessions with his racist approach, or an abusive football coach who has had legal problems in the past and Doug Jones, a former US Attorney who successfully prosecuted the KKK murderers of four little girls in a Birmingham church. Such a difficult decision for Alabama. I hope Jones has another job lined up.

On a happy note, though, the way trump is fucking up this Coronavirus response just might wake a lot of people up and they will vote him and his minions out in November.

Would be great time to get sessions tell all, preferably before House…

Kidding on the square as my pappy used to say: It’s Alabama and Jones is probably toast; they don’t like the Union and close ranks when the Confederacy is threatened.
