A few months ago I commented that these lunatics were going to start shooting if their Dear Leader loses. Some on here laughed at me claiming the crazies were all talk and too scared to do it. Some of them may be scared but I am terrified I may be correct. I hope everyone of you who doubted me are completely correct in that doubt.
a free thinking . . .conservative woman
Oxymoron, at least the “thinking” part.
Some time after January 20, 2021.
Stay tuned - I bet it’s a good bit sooner.
The House can refuse to seat her, no matter what the outcome of the election is. If it’s a Democratic-controlled House, it seems like an easy thing to implement. And then Georgia can be short one member.
Article I, Section V: “Each House shall be the Judge of the Elections, Returns and Qualifications of its own Members, and a Majority of each shall constitute a Quorum to do Business;”
And, there is precedent. After the Civil War the House refused to seat members elected who were ex-Confederates.
A remembrance of stupid past.
We must reject the notion that demography is destiny, the pathetic and simplistic notion that skin pigmentation dictates voter behavior," Jindal said.
Jindal also said that the GOP must work to reframe its messaging on restricting the size of government.
How quaint.
“We must not become the party of austerity. We must become the party of growth,” Jindal said.
But among Jindal’s most provocative suggestions was the demand that the GOP needed to “stop insulting the intelligence of voters” — and display more intelligence itself. Jindal’s comments seemed targeted squarely at conservative candidates in Senate races whose comments on rape and abortion appeared to torpedo their electoral chances.
“We had a number of Republicans damage the brand this year with offensive and bizarre comments,” Jindal said.
The Louisiana governor also warned that Republicans were too associated with “big business, big banks, big Wall Street bailouts, big corporate loopholes.”
“We must not be the party that simply protects the well-off so they can keep their toys,” Jindal said. “We have to be the party that shows all Americans how they can thrive.”
Ah, the halcyon days of yore.
That is EXACTLY what she is hoping that Pelosi does.
It will give her what she desires: PUBLICITY.
The best thing to do is; Completely ignore her.
She gets NO committee assignments. No staff assistance. No help from anybody in the House.
The Media should refuse to interview her (yeah, right, like THAT will happen. Bomb-Throwers get all the publicity, and she knows it.)
Shunning by your Peers is a powerful tool when used properly.
This will force her into more and more outrageous actions, which can then lead to censure, and expulsion from the House.
I fear that when Trump loses in November a small percentage of the fruitcakes that believe this insanity will take it upon themselves to start shooting perceived enemies - they won’t all be as stupid as the bomber who was caught a few years ago. The rhetoric is absolutely stochastic terrorism. As November approaches, Trump will ratchet up his goading of these people to a fever pitch.
These loonies always portray themselves with guns and talk about second amendment solutions. It is a rite of passage for them and a standard part of their pitch to the weak of mind.
I understand disBarr is going to launch a perfunctory DOJ investigation as soon as there are enough cold bodies to raise alarms.
I love how the Republicans are terrified by three Freshman back benchers.
“Captioned above the photo Greene had reportedly written that America needed “strong conservative Christians” to “go on the offense against these socialists who want to rip our country apart.””
I think Trump has already done a great job of ripping apart the country.
Do you think this moron could define “socialism”?
Well, she’s pretty damn offensive.
The purpose of the photo is clear, but I kinda wish we’d stop giving these gunhumpers what they want when they try to rile us up with this shit.
“I understand that Marjorie* is afraid to live in Donald Trump’s America without a semi-automatic rifle by her side. I will work with President Biden to make America safe for all Americans including the ones currently overcome by fear.”
*Yes, first name only. She doesn’t deserve the respect of “candidate Greene” or whatever.
I got some news for you honey, I ain’t afraid of guns. In fact I own several so just come at me and we’ll see who is more afraid, bitch.
Has she actually been elected? Maybe if Annie Oakley has a little chat with the FBI, it might cool voters‘ ardor.
Proficiency in Facebook and Twitter.
Hey Bobby, how’s them volcanoes doin’?
If Ms. Green wins in November, the House of Representatives should, as it is in its power to do and has done, refuse to seat her.
Article 1 section 5 of the United States constitution states that, “Each House shall be the judge of the elections, returns and qualifications of its own members”. By the 1969 Supreme Court case of Powell (Adam Clayton) v McCormack limits that ability, we know our current Supreme Court does not much respect precedent.
That is in my view, threatening to murder or encouraging the murder of other members of congress is certainly a reason to expel a current member and therefore a reason not to seat a newly elected member.
TPM hasn’t been the same since Michelle Bachmann flamed out, but I think we have a new Great Right Hope on our hands, here.
Indeed, I think we’re going to miss Michelle after a few months of this loon. But she’s got “inevitable arrest” written all over her, so is suspect this bright flame will burn fast.
The Adam Clayton Powell case Powell v. McCormack is precedent. She has to be seated though threatening other members could be a bridge to far.
