Not a big coffee drinker, but did it work because everybody else did.
Miami airport 2000, Ordered coffee and I went to put sugar and the lady yelled at me
“Tiene! Tiene! azucar” I’m like “OK” Never argue with the locals Seems they grind the coffee with the sugar and run that through an espresso machine Been doing that ever since
The true test of US resolve will be whether they prosecute those who carried out his orders for war crimes. At least the war crimes (and there are several) he has already committed. There’s a good chance yesterday’s TACO occurred because the military leadership refused.
The sound of the grinder is just too much for me in the morning. Also, I can’t drink anything hot, so I actually rely on via packets - melt the grounds with a bit of warm water and then add lots of ice - even in Pittsburgh in the winter!
MS-notNBC’s Jenn Psaki was reporting last night that CentCom’s commander had already stricken a number of targets from the Sect’y of War Crimes dream list, because an attack on those targets would constitute a war crime. The commander was also describe as, “walking a tight rope” to try to prevent war crimes and keep his job.
I think it’s entirely plausible that the maladministration was told, “No: those are illegal orders and we won’t obey them.”
I was in a rehearsal last night and didn’t get word that it was TACO Tuesday until I heard that on my way home. I was afraid I would go to bed last night worried that TSF would cry havoc, and let slip all the dogs of war. I was relieved to learn that he had backed down from genocide. That is a sadly low standard for relief.
It’s my only option. My mouth is so heat sensitive that I can’t eat or drink anything hot. I wish there were a cooling equivalent of a microwave as I get tired of waiting for things to cool enough to eat.
My friend was very committed to 1000 Villages (I don’t know if they are still in business?) and also bought through them some South African red wine, which was also excellent. No idea of the details, I fear.
