Hey, at least they’re not flying the immigrants on Spirit or Frontier Airlines, that would be an 8A violation right there.

But Why?

I’m still puzzling over precisely why the Trump administration is fixated on the Library of Congress and the U.S. Copyright Office

Because everything relating to/published about January 6 is housed there.

The low-key ominous threat of unsolicited pizza deliveries at the homes of federal judges and their family members has continued, the WaPo reports.

“Never before, in the field of human conflict, was a free and proud nation brought to it’s knees by one party’s cowardice and subjugation from fear of pizza deliveries.”

It’s not in Newfoundland, tho.

ETA: Newfoundland is a special place unlike any other. Off the beaten path, but well worth a visit if you get the chance.

I didn’t think our government acknowledged that one anymore.

That is, unless you broke into the Capitol on January 6.

L’il Marco hates the authoritarianism of Communism, but loves the authoritarianism of the oligarchic Donald Trump. That would make him a corrupt hypocrite.

He’s back to saluting foreign generals again. There’s a conga line of Qatari Saudi military officers. They salute him and he salutes back.

We have government by people whose development got stuck at petulant and defiant adolescence, which is, I suppose, a perfectly democratic expression of the spirit that elected it. In a fit of pique and frustration a large swath of us threw up its hands and said, “Fine. You run things. You can’t do any worse than the other bunch.” and we all found out (with the exception of those patiently waiting to wake up and find a pony).

Re: Trump’s New Pimped-Out Ride

The best solution would be to refuse to accept it.

The next best would be to examine it for bugs, malware, etc, and then let El Presidente tool around in it as is. No enhanced communications with Washington. No encryption. It’s got around 20 teevies, so that should make him happy.

It’s NOT “Air Force One”, and no effort ought to go into making it so. My opinion.

This woman goes in for a facelift and the doctor says: “We’ve got this new method: I put a knob in the back of your head, and every time you feel like you need a lift, just turn it.”

She gets the knob implanted, uses it quite often, and is beautiful for five years.

But one day she notices a problem and returns to the doctor.

“I’ve got these huge bags under my eyes,” she complains.

The surgeon replies: “Those aren’t bags; those are your breasts.”

“Ah,” she sighs. “That explains the goatee.”

Investigating Abrego Garcia’s 2022 traffic stop isn’t just petty and nasty. It is, implicitly, a full-on rejection of the law. The assumption behind it is that “bad guys” don’t deserve due process, which in action means that the Trump administration can deport anyone they want without any regard for the law just by declaring them “bad guys”–a declaration which sidesteps any legal process.

The ongoing effort to smear A.G. is really a bad faith attempt to abolish the rule of law.
