Sounds like things are a little strained between Bezos and TFG. What was described as “Amazon listing a “tariff cost” line on invoices.” (It was actually being considered by the Amazon Haul division, not the main company). During Bessent’s presser this morning, he was asked by a reporter about the fact that this will show consumers the actual cost of the tariff’s which TFG and others in the administration have claimed won’t affect anyone.
Leavitt came charging in from the wings, pushed her way to the mic and said "I just got off the phone with the president. “This is a hostile and poilitical act.”
Honesty is not the best policy if you want to stay on TFG’s good side, truth has no place in your repertoire.
