It was part of an ongoing series of acts and words that were entirely inappropriate and illegal. That’s where the focus needs to be. If it looks like he is facing hard prison time (this is Trump, he won’t fit in very well with federal Supermax inmate culture) he’ll make sure Pence has his pardon ready to go.
