Well since The Rump is determined to rip the lid off the septic tank to make his trial about every other turd besides himself, I want to know more about the relationship between Davidson, and Cohen. I distinctly remember my impression of the two – without remembering whether it was backed by evidence or just my own revulsion run amok – as the gold digger’s and pot of gold’s lawyers working together behind the scenes, to bury a seven-or-eight-figure embarrassment with a quicker, easier, less unpalatable, six-figure settlement. Like the world of catch-and kill extended to the lawyers.
In my own little mental screenplay, these exchanges take place in a strip joint.

Very different write-up here as compared to Twitter folks like Norm Eisen. Per Norm’s summary, the jury paid close attention to the evidence that all participants knew the hush money scheme was designed with the goal to help Trump stave off bad news cycles to win the '16 election. Davidson testified with respect to an election night 2016 text message that they were all convinced that their efforts to execute the hush money scheme were successful, and that is why Trump lied on the disclosure form. That goes a long way to proving the prosecution’s case b/c the false disclosure filing was done to cover up a different crime. That’s why he’s being charged criminally in NY.
I’ve also seen/read other commentary suggesting the defense’s focus on the sordid nature of this world may have buttressed the testimony b/c the jury knows that only people who have something to hide do these types of things. However, Trump is the only one who was a Presidential candidate looking to hide information from the public in violation of election laws. Everyone is dirty, but Trump is the only one who committed a federal election crime, for which only Michael Cohen has served time.

I ‘think’ it was Davidson’s friend Dylan Howard who was the Enquirer’s national editor. It was a straight deal w/Enquirer for Karen McDougall; then when the Stormy issue came up he told her to use Davidson, because in Howard’s opinion, he was discreet.
Davidson is the one with the ‘real’ Man-sized Safe…it’s in his head.

When Donald-met-Stormy at the celebrity golf tournament, they had sex; THEN he wanted her to arrange a 3-way w/one of her porn actress friends who said “No, I am here w/my husband and baby.” Friend said she TALKED TO TRUMP who tried to use ‘sexy voice’ over the phone.
THEN friend called back Stormy and said WHY are you involved w/him at ALL, he fucks over everybody.
Stormy had said she sexed w/him because she could not think of a reason to say NO.
Listening to this stuff, I wonder if SHE thought she COULD get a spot on Celebrity Apprentice and thought it would give her an IN for ‘his’ show.
As a career move. Since HE is so transactional, I don’t feel badly for her being w/him.

The idea takes aim at the concept of accountability, and also seeks to wear down jurors who are being asked to distinguish between the specific set of allegations — that Trump falsified business records while reimbursing Michael Cohen for the Stormy Daniels payment as part of a campaign finance conspiracy — and the tidal wave of muck Bove has unleashed.
Sure, we can make it sound as complicated as we want, or we can easily make the point that paying off the porn star wasn’t the crime. Falsifying business records and campaign financing were the crimes.

Gawd, are they reaching. That someone manipulated the data on Cohen’s phone as part of the Derp State Witch Hunt. As if anyone knew with clarity that this case would ever evolve, who the crucial witness/players might be, planted or changed evidence in some murky backwater of all the possible evidence knowing THIS would be the crucial piece…years ahead of time. Sure.
Everyone else was lying. Everyone else did wrong. All the crimes were somebody else just deciding to commit crimes that The Boss didn’t want committed. Everyone else is fudging the books, making dirty deals, paying people off, and criming because of figments of their imagination - against the wishes of The Boss and without his knowledge. All for their own crazy reasons and to cover up ridiculous and tawdry sex that certainly The Boss would never engage in. Surely, angelic Donald F’ing Chump would never stoop to such behavior. Oh no.
I think back on all the times I got involved slushing around 100s of thousands of dollars to hush up desperate porn stars and nudey models who I IMAGINED were entrapping my boss. All those meetings and lawyers I arranged…and it was all in my head! Gawd I felt foolish. And should have been fired…but no The Boss, that sweet boss, let me keep my job! What a guy!

Why is everybody excited. Everybody who paid attention in 2016 knew he was a sleezeball. He was the attorney for the two women in this plot. I always suspected he had been hand picked by Cohen to represent them.

The judge just clarified that Trump is allowed to testify and reexplained the gag order to him.

“I want to stress to Mr. Trump: You have an absolute right to testify at trial.”
The Constitution guarantees that right, he emphasizes.
