This is needless military combat and civilian death as a result of craven political support of a man they KNOW is unfit to fill the Office of President. And every GOP pol continuing to support a person as erratic and dangerous as Trump is as responsible for those deaths (including those of our Servicemen) as Trump.

Trump had Republican rivals in 2016 too, many with different political beliefs than his. It didn’t say a Democrat, just a political rival. Ted Cruz was his political rival. Jeb Bush was his political rival. Is there a quote somewhere I missed where the IG specifically says a Democrat?
