The issue is, why did Trump start a war with Iran?
Lawyers should all be familiar with THE BUT FOR TEST often called CAUSATION. That is while there may be many reasons something happens and decisions are made, you look for the critical event that BUT FOR that event decisions would have been different and something that is or has happened would not have happened.
But before getting to the BUT FOR on Iran, we have seen this before, where a war is started without any truthful rational for that war..
“It is inconceivable that America went to war with Iraq over suspected weapons of mass destruction and then failed to secure any suspected WMD sites upon taking control of the country”, former Bush chief weapons inspector David Kay, October 2004 on CNN “Newsnight with Aaron Brown” upon learning that Bush failed to secure any WMD sites, Iraq’s borders or providing security for Iraq’s people so they could build the institutions necessary for a unified western style democracy.
The point is over 20 years later we still have no believable rational why, to quote Donald Trump, “George W Bush lied America into a disastrous war in Iraq”. Many say it was for oil, in particular to cause higher gas prices by allowing the cartel to get control of the oil supply as Saddam had been undercutting any set price but that was more a Dick Cheney thing than a George W Bush thing.
The most likely reason Bush Jr., again to quote Donald Trump, “LIED America into a disastrous war in Iraq” is that Saddam tried to kill daddy, Bush Sr.
Iran has recently tried to murder Donald Trump twice.
That is I agree that there are likely several reasons why Trump recklessly started this war with Iran, BUT, in law there is the BUT FOR TEST. What was the critical event that had it not have happened, Trump would not have made the decision to go to war with Iran.
In my view, the only rational that holds up to scrutiny as to why Trump rashly started this war is that Iran kept trying to kill Donald Trump. Now I must agree that a nation trying to kill a sitting president is a better reason than a nation that tried to kill the daddy of a sitting president or a former president, it is still a question if it is a proper and legal use of American military might to settle a personal score.
That is my opinion, that we are in this war because Iran tried to murder Donald Trump just like we invaded Iraq because Saddam tried to kill Bush Jr. daddy.

Trump is surely the stupidest and least knowledgeable president we’ve ever had. No wonder he is attacking superior universities and firing experts. And, no wonder he loves the uneducated. You would have to be pretty low on the IQ scale to even think about voting for the pedophile felon
