Trump Campaign Pessimistic About Repeat Performance In Michigan

“Mr. Pence arrived at the island’s airport by helicopter and then made his way down Cadotte Avenue, one of the island’s main roads, in a motorcade of eight S.U.V.s, flanked by state police on bicycles.”

How many of those cops are going to vote for him again?

Is that the new word for “chaos?”

Makes sense… Trump knows well how to mask stupid as genius.

Stable, too

All Trump has to do is get GM to give in on the strike. Trump’s a hero and Michigan is an easy win. He’s already faltering on the idea, but I bet someone makes him come around.

ETA: The GOP has seen what happens when they tell workers to go pound sand, historically. See Mitt Romney a few years back.

Minnesota is not quite as blue as we think. I live next door in suburban Twin Cities, Wisconsin. You get up into Duluth and the Iron Range, and it gets a little more purple up there.

BTW: attended the Big Eastern States Exposition in Springfield, MA, this weekend. Lots of pro-Trump garb for sale there, e.g., Trump 2020 the next chapter that makes the Libs cry (seriously, that was on a t-shirt). Now, to explain the Big E to outsiders is to say it’s the State Fair for all of New England - all six States are represented there. So we consider most of NE to be blue, but I know from southern CT where my farm is, it’s getting redder. No political booths there from either side of the campaign, but the Vermont House had a lot of Bernie wear - always has: in 2016 they even had a Bernie bear.

In sad old guy news Rip Torn died. I loved him in Dodgeball!

If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball. I guess the wrench finally got him.

RIP Rip!

Totally agree. Not to be taken for granted.

I’m originally from MI, and so is my mom, born in the UP. The motorcade debacle isn’t sitting well at all. But true trumpies will twist themselves in knots to excuse anything. Even this.

I sometimes rewatch Larry Sanders just to enjoy Rip Torn. Especially his scenes w Jeffrey Tambor.

Trump won Michigan by 10,000 votes.

Putin Stooge Jill Stein received 54,000 votes in Michigan

All of 80,000 voters in Michigan voted straight Democratic - and left the Presidential slot blank.

Fun fact: Minnesota is the only state in the union that has voted blue for every presidential nominee since Carter, and that includes Mondale. But uh, sure, I bet they’ve just been waiting this whole time for someone like Trump, and only the second time around.

Michele Bachmann is available to campaign in MN.

It was supposed to be a coming-out party for Senate candidate John James, but Pence stupidly wiped out that hype. It was a bully move, for certain.

One correction: The 1980 movie “Somewhere in Time” was filmed on the island and the producers were given permission to bring in a Fiat sports car as long as it was only used in the establishing shot as promised.

Trump probably already lost Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, too.

Perhaps the current strategy is to keep Trump happy while only visiting those venues where they don’t have to bus in paid participants to fill the venues. If we really are playing eleventy-dimensional chess, this could be a plan to dump Trump coming from the right. It’s got that Romney, dog on the car roof feel to it.

Let’s hope so. However, at the last debate Hillary pointed out that while Trump could’ve used American made steel for his buildings, he instead used Chinese because it was cheaper. I thought to myself, “well, that clinches Ohio & Pennsylvania for Hillary”

But, to paraphrase Rick James; “Racism is a hell of a drug”
