The Trump campaign has called for next week’s presidential debate to take place in person as it had originally been planned after a statement from White House physician Dr. Sean Conley appeared to clear him for a return to public engagements.
Fuck Donnie.
He may be earning a bonus from Vlad for infecting this country’s political leadership, but no one else here has anything to gain from it.
The Reactionaries are clearly trailing and slipping in this election. From the perspective of the kind of politicking so near and dear to them, there’s no reason to even agree to this debate. There’s absolutely no reason to believe that Drumpf, or anyone around him is in good faith, except by mistake.
The Democrats should let this go. There’s absolutely nothing to be gained by agreeing to it and, prospectively, too much to lose.
He knows more than the best doctors because of his really good brain. That steroid is still buzzing and it’s unclear whether he’s off it (there’s usually a taper down.). He wouldn’t even tell Hannity if he’s been tested lately. The standard is 2 negative tests before you’re clear. But of course it’s all about how he feels, not no stinkin’ test.
Seems simple enough. The debate should be virtual not to please Donnie or Joe but for all the staff and supporters that would be at greater risk of exposure.
I don’t see any need at this time for Biden to debate Trump. Likely 90% of voters have firmly made up their mind and are not open to changing their opinion of either candidate. The few at the undecided margins would be left with a good impression of Biden merely observing and listening to him in televised interviews and town forums such as the ABC event announced for the 15th. Wrestling in the mud with Trump does him no good, except to the degree it further exposes Trump for the loon he is. And the fact he’s a loon is already a widely accepted viewpoint, needing no further cementing via additional debates. Trump does a fine job reminding everyone one of that, almost hourly, without Biden’s or the Debate Commission’s help.
Yup. And I bet he was starting to feel unwell during the debate. Toward the end he was sweating and red faced and looked uncomfortable. If he was normal, I might say it was regret for his performance. But he’s not so I put my money on Covid. That also ties in with the time line of when others became ill. He’s still sick and the steroids may be masking and alleviating symptoms but it doesn’t mean he’s all better by any measure.
With respect, fuck you, Mr. President. Your disgraceful performance disgusted the vast majority who saw it. You can’t really debate anyone and you know it. All you have are your stupid lies. Fuck off.
P.S. pay no attention to that hoarse-voiced man hacking and clearing his throat behind the screen:
He has squandered what little credibility he ever had with his lies, the obvious obfuscation ( lies) of his medical team throughout his political life, and the evidence of the virus spreading through his inner circle to be believed about his contagion status unless verified by a team of outside doctors. And putting members of the public, not to mention Joe Biden and the moderator, at risk to supply a forum for his continued lying is pointless.
