While en route to the Great Hall of the Supreme Court to pay his respects to the late Justice John Paul Stevens, President Donald Trump found time Monday morning to renew his attacks against the four congresswomen — Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) — known as the “squad.”
Like usual, this strategy (if it is a conscious strategy) is designed to triple-down on his base (who would already take a bullet for him) at the cost of disgusting voters toward the center of the electorate.
Certainly our Media Glitterati will be quickly chiding It and Its party that doing so risks alienating Democrats and Democratic supporters as to make them afraid of continuing this line of political attack, right?
Have any of these Congresswomen associated with a known Pedophile and Rapist, NO! Have any of these Congresswomen bragged about sexually assaulting a women, again NO! There is the come back to his lies.
And? Same shit different day. He does this all the time, does/says/supports something, gets called on it and pretended to walk it back/distance himself from it, and then the next day he’s back to claiming it was all his idea. Finally he accuses the people/portion of society he attacked of being the very thing he’s already proven himself to be (repeatedly).
Trump actually believes that this is the path to re-election.
Of course, he’s a lifelong racist, as smart people have known for ages.
But he has said repeatedly that this is how he won in '16 and how he’ll win in '20.
This is only the beginning—and it’s going to get incredibly ugly very soon.
