IIRC she only dropped “Romney” after Spankee was already the candidate or perhaps it was after the election (too tired to chase it down).

Spankee knows she’s a Romney. She showed her “deference” (and her opportunistic side) by dropping the use of her maiden name

My point was, if Spankee keeps hammering on her uncle while he’s also dragging election chances of other Gooper candidates down, she may well go along with any plan to get Spankee out.

And betcha the moment he’s gone,she goes back to the double last name again…

Okay, since you’re the second person to comment on this, I looked it up.

She used the double name Romney McDaniels until Dec 14, 2016 when Spankee appointed her to replace Priebus. According to a WaPo article from that time, Spankee asked her to stop using “Romney” in her name.

He knows who she is.
