You should feel sorry for both of them.
Kavanaugh is just a sad, pathetic jock that got in way over his head. Had he not done the Icarus bit, he’d have had a nice cushy job, reasonable reputation, etc. Now, no matter what happens with him even if he serves 50 honorable years on the court, he will forever have this asterisk hanging over him, and the nickname Rapey McRapeFace.
Same deal with Trump. The rest of the days, investigators and prosecutors are going to be pouring over his life, his business is ruined, no reputation to speak of… And all because he went one step too far.

I am sad to say this but I have cancelled my subscription to NYT a few years ago. I guess eventually Judith Miller, Glenn Thrush, Maggie Haberman reporting got to me. Lately the editorial board and opinion writers are just BAD, actually awful. So, I wouldn’t call them failing as the orange does because there are still a few decent reporters, but it is an awful paper more often than not.
I agree with all this except the “one step” part. More like a whole escalator.

Their problem is that name is actually “The New York Behind The TImes”. They hired all these people who exemplified the zeitgeist of the 80’s, 90’s and early Aughts and haven’t caught up with the damage done in that now ending era.

This is so terrible. The NYT accused Kavanaugh of 2 confirmed cases of sexual assault when there was only 1 confirmed case and many other cases that haven’t been confirmed yet.
What a travesty.

The fun part is that Kavanaugh is probably sitting at home right now, wishing that Trump would please shut the F*** up and let this thing go, because the bigger a deal it gets, the harder the Times and other outlets will work to prove that the Stein story was correct.
(that being said, I still don’t get why the authors of the book idenitified the woman that Stein said was assaulted. That was simply irresponsible.)
Looking on the bright side, this proves that Trump actually experiences empathy, even if it’s just empathy for men getting called out for their misdeeds.
I love the idea. Mainly bc the resignation of Trump and Pence would have a wonderful side effect: President Pelosi!
