I think you’re correct. It’s way easier to fleece the flock when you aren’t in office and he will convince himself and his cult that he has more power as a wannabe kingmaker than as a president.

Let them fight it out and leave a lot of GOP blood on the floor. My money is on Rep. Mike Ryan who just got a big boost by the GOP’s asinine assault on the Right to Choose in the SCOTUS. I am betting on and contributing to Mike, John Fetterman (PA) and Lucas Kunce (MO). These are all American Patriots who haven’t sold their souls to either the Devil or Trump and would make great Senators.
I think they will help the Democrats hold the Senate, eliminate the filibuster, restore Voting Rights and pass a new Judicial Act which will limit the SCOTUS to adjudicating disputes between the states, while routing all other Judicial Reviews from the appellate courts to the 1st Circuit for resolution.

I think there really are multiple reasons for that. It was pretty much the worst Christmas ever for him. Just a ton of scrutiny and criticism, which are kryptonite to him. He doesn’t know that nothing will ever satisfy the relentless, gnawing hunger inside him, but he knows being president won’t. And it’s too much work to get it. He seems to be less active than ever, and he was pretty much like a sponge before. And a lot of people who enabled him before, thinking it could work out OK for them, realize now he’s a pretty weak link.

It’s not logic on TFG’s part—it’s inchoate rage. He’s targeting people in his own party who weren’t sufficiently loyal and favoring others not because of their ability to win, but because they are loyal.
