I am scrambling in search of articles positing that lynching caused only slightly more deaths of black folk during Jim Crow segregation than state executions by hanging. Or that the ovens of Auschwitz caused only slightly more deaths** among Jews and others than did housefires during the years of Holocaust.

I read a couple of opinions by doctors versed in the pharmacological effects of HCQ who theorized that it might lead to worse outcomes in some cases. Gold star to those folks.

Worse to me than the headline, is what you quoted, âslightly MOREâ = 28% / 11% = 2.54 TIMES!?!?
About 28% who were given hydroxychloroquine plus usual care died, versus 11% of those getting routine care alone.
While I completely understand this isnât a full-blown peer-reviewed, double-blind, yadda yadda, that donât make no sense!

As Josh updated with Doctor JBâs comments, this study has a lot of holes in it.
Just a few examples:
Severe patients were more likely to receive HC.
There are no reported doses for HC. (The Brazil high dose study was VERY high, resulting in cardiac deaths)
Not blinded, randomized, etc.
So many holes in this study, it is almost useless.
And to think, I thought Iâd never have any use for BarBushâs âbeautiful mindâ quoteâŚ
But why should we hear about body bags, and deaths, and how manyâŚ? âŚSo, why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?
Sweden abandoning its testing of hydroxychloroquine a couple weeks ago on the negative side-effects with no discernible benefits. That assessment applies to many things the Trump administration does.
Those are his most available group to experiment on.

A malaria drug widely touted by President Donald Trump for treating the new coronavirus showed no benefit in a large analysis of its use in U.S. veterans hospitals.
And a couple other European studies were cancelled because the drug itself was actually killing too many patients.
No wonder the Death Cult Dear Leader touts it.
