Yeah, I think they’re giving him something too (Maybe he’s got a stent inserted somewhere.), but I generally look for alternative explanations.

This whole thing is weird. Also, he’s carrying his own newspapers and doctors generally have people carry things to even out tremors. (Please correct me if I’m wrong.) I’d bet he’s getting blood thinners as well.

I guess if Lewis had attended the inaugural, Trump would have had information enough to decide if Lewis was a hero or not.
Actually, it would have taken a heroic effort to sit through Trump’s American Carnage speech faking rapt and respectful attention.

I’m not saying for sure that bruise is an IV bruise. It looks like it could be one, and I’ve had enough IV bruises to know. But it really could be a purpurea. Trump is clumsy, he could’ve knocked his hand against a doorknob. I’ve bruised my own hand more than once doing that.
What I am sure of, however, is that he’s been hogging convalescent plasma.

That’s generally what happens to me. Door knobs are vicious. But seriously, if they were dumping plasma into him every day, you’d think they would inject is a more inconspicuous place. The DK article references an injection of iodine for a contrast MRI, possibly related to diagnosing circulatory issues related to TIAs. But who knows.

And the size of the bruise, across the whole back of the hand, is the kind I remember having after being on an IV for weeks, at the point where they use the same vein again because they simply can’t find any new ones to insert the cannula. The veins begin to collapse after repeated cannulization.

Bruising easily esp. on hands and arms comes with aging. That’s the sad truth. But I marvel at the overall ick factor: Unbound by an over large suit, no carefully arranged coiffure, no orange makeup, and a “45” on his hat to remind him of his IQ.
But newspapers? He might as well be carrying the OED, equally incredible.
Better news, however, from LA Times
Biden leads Trump in California by 39 percentage points, 67% to 28%, the poll found. That’s 9 points larger than the margin by which Hillary Clinton beat Trump statewide in 2016 — a record at the time. And the share of Californians who approve of Trump’s performance in office, which has held steady in the mid-to-low 30% range for nearly his entire tenure, has now ticked downward to just 29%.
That’s consistent with other polls nationally and in battleground states that show a nationwide tide lifting Biden, swelling his margin in states like California, moving him solidly ahead in close-fought states like Pennsylvania and Michigan and making him potentially competitive in states that Trump won more handily last time, such as Texas and Georgia.

As I said to @castor_troy, they’re using a vein that shows now because they’ve run out of veins at the front of the elbow and wrist. This would naturally be the case if he’s been getting infused for months.

John Lewis also didn’t attend the Inaugural for George W Bush, but Bush upheld the role of Presidents and former Presidents when this country was in mourning- he had the integrity and respect necessary to speak at Representative Lewis funeral - giving one of his best speeches in recognition of all John Lewis did and sacrificed for this country.
