because Woodward is already working on his next book – I mean, Trump is so susceptible to flattery – especially flattery from someone as “important” as Woodward, that he allowed Woodward access to write “Rage” AFTER Woodward published his first, extremely derogatory expose about Trump. (“Fear”), So Woodward pulls his punches in describing Trump’s crimes – letting Trump’s words speak for themselves – while buttering up Trump behind the scenes (“I’m so sorry this book went to press before you announced your Israel UAE deal – but the NEXT one, I promise, will do a deep dive into that whole thing”)
