WSJ Reports White House Wants DOJ to Try Again You may have seen the news by now that the Trump White House has asked the Justice Department to consider bringing a new prosecution against the same man that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C. just moved to dismiss felony charges against over the Lincoln…

Trump Admits to ‘Some Contractor Error’ As WH Asks DOJ to Consider New Charges:

How about charging contractor for ripping off the American taxpayer? Unfortunately, Trump is immune, but this could be part of his next impeachment.

I’m beginning to think he’ll either be dead or in a no-extradite country before anything happens to him.

ALERT: A National Park Service career employee, a highly credible witness, saw David Hearn (ActBlue) in broad daylight vandalize the Reflecting Pool by “violently” ripping and tugging at the Pool’s somewhat delicate coating.

As a former professional house painter, I’m trying to figure out how the job was properly executed when the finish can be “pulled” off of the substrate. (ed.)

My dad has it on his bingo card that he will head over to Saudi Arabia to hang out with Mr. Bone Saw. I have been leaning more to Argentina myself. He has given sufficient bribes to both places though, so I am not sure.

Is there some reason to suppose MBS wouldn’t trade TSF for brownie points with the incoming administration, or the people in a destination even worse for Dear Leader?
Same for Milei, although I don’t know enough about him to say that’d be a real risk.

Lean more to Saudi Arabia; MBS has power that looks pretty darn absolute and long-lived. On the other hand, Melei is subject to the whims of the economy going bad (again) or being ousted by a rival. Melei’s power is much more limited and of likely shorter duration.

I doubt he’d flee the country because as an ex-President he gets one thing no amount of money can buy in a foreign country, and that’s 24/7 lifetime Secret Service protection. It’s never been tested on whether it applies to an expat ex-President, but I don’t think he’d risk it. It’s gold-plated personal protection until he dies.

He also gets the best available health care for ex-Presidents at Walter Reed hospital, something else he can’t buy overseas. With the partial immunity protection the SCOTUS handed him and his advanced age, he’ll never face jail time until he dies. With all the perks of an ex-President here, why go overseas?

And by ‘some contractor error’ we mean they completely fucked it up, especially after we drove a convoy of SUVs through it.

If the case against Hearn is dismissed with prejudice, does that mean that DOJ can’t turn around and charge him with a misdemeanor arising from the same factual lies they told the first time? If so, I’d imagine that they’re just providing more fodder for his vindictive prosecution lawsuit.

Trump just doesn’t give a shit about how many people’s lives he ruins, does he?

Lisa Rubin had a different take on this special grand jury. I wish I’d listened to her more. (I was busy with dinner and in and out of the garden.) She thinks its about a more immediate case with long range ramifications.

TSF will pardon himself, of course.

I’m not a criminal lawyer, but I think a dismissal with prejudice means charges for the same act cannot be brought, period.

But more important, the Brady S.Ct. case says prosecutors must turn over exculpatory evidence. How about that box of documents U.S. Atty Pirro wheeled into the White House to show that Dept. of Interior had concluded it was a botched installation? What else is there? The WH doesn’t yet understand that dragging this out will give Hearns’ lawyers lots of stuff to use. Plus a civil damages case for malicious prosecution. Maybe real legal ethics problems for Pirro? Who knows?

U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro should re-visit her hastily made decision, especially since it turned out that the ‘gentleman’ involved is a big player in ActBlue, a disgraceful fundraising SCAM, and is represented by a TRUMP DERANGED SLEAZEBAG, Political Hack Lawyer, Norm Eisen, and CREW, a group that uses ‘charity’ for political purposes which is, to the best of my knowledge, ILLEGAL!” he posted on Truth Social.

Trump just handed Hearn a strong defense. It sounds like a political prosecution to me. I love that Trump wants him prosecuted because he gave money to Democrats using Actblue and is represented by attorneys he doesn’t like.

I think it was John’s day off. I think Dave Dennison was covering his duties that day.
