What’s interesting is how we can read clearly the “Anti-ice” writing, but on the 2nd bullet from left the writing is turned away
This…
“I AM CALLING ON ALL DEMOCRATS TO STOP THIS RHETORIC AGAINST ICE AND AMERICA’S LAW ENFORCEMENT, RIGHT NOW!”
and this…
And who did you say needs to tone down the rhetoric???
… and you’re frustrated about being called a Nazi?? I think that’s the least of your problem right now.
And weird that this has happened multiple times. I wonder…. Is anyone doing handwriting analysis on the bullets?
Considering it was posted so rapidly by Patel before a full picture of this guy has been built, it is without context.
I’d say the Bolded portion adds context
One might say… they are are trying to characterize this guy as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it…
Yesterday’s evening briefing mentioned under “What we are reading” an excellent essay, which I meant to encourage folks here to read. It’s a response to Ezra Klein’s idiotic (to be kind) encomium for Charlie Kirk, and it’s more than that. It reflects upon the necessary and constructive role of shame in a healthy community.
I’ve done a lot of thinking about shame over my many years of teaching and writing about Homer’s Iliad. The word aidos is usually translated as shame, as in Hector’s telling Andromache he would feel “shame before the Trojan women in their trailing garments” if he did not always fight at the forefront of battle. When I pressed the idea with students that aidos connoted caring what others thought of you, they would initially recoil. After all, hadn’t college-age young adults been repeatedly told since fledgling adolescence to do the right thing and not to “follow the crowd”? My first response would be, “Think, what those whom you respect most would think of you.” I don’t know how often I succeeded in taking them into further reflection upon Hector’s sense of responsibility to the Trojan women as the source of the shame he would feel if he did not fight to protect them. Of the high valuation placed on mutual dependence that underlies aidos – when Hector runs from Achilles, he passes among other sights and sites all Trojans share the pools where the Trojan women do their washing.
And he will finally fall to Achilles, not a hero of aidos the way Hector is but nonetheless a man operating in the same kind of communal nexus. Achilles withdraws from the fighting because he feels (not without reason) that his community, which owes him so much, has rejected him. But he never fully withdraws and sends Patroclus into the fighting for that reason. (Not unlike Hector, Achilles is most concerned for the most vulnerable on his side.) Wrath (a translation of the poem’s first word, menis/menin, “rage” – think dies irae, or “wrath of god”) overtakes him as it does Hector. The son of a goddess will be the victor, even as Hector’s death portends Achilles’. The poem ends with Achilles handing over to Priam, Hector’s father, the body of Hector, along with Achilles’ assurances of a truce to allow for Hector’s proper burial. Which he gets. The last line of the Iliad: “Such was the burial of Hector, breaker of horses.”
With Hector’s death will come Achilles’, too (as the poem makes clear) but more important, the death of Troy – Ilium/Ilion. Hence the title (bestowed by whom and when?): the Iliad.
So, I recommend reading the Boston Review article TPM and I have linked to and also, if you have the courage and strength, the Iliad. It’s an immensely profound and complex poem, beyond the lifetimes of any of us to comprehend. A good companion to a serious initial or early reading is Seth Schein’s The Mortal Hero.

This is their ‘new’ move. IMMEDIATELY blame the Democrats (no matter what the facts are or lack thereof), run out and create a distraction so the MAGAites aren’t sure what is important and the Dems don’t know which to respond to. Rope in FOX to have a panel to blame the Dems, ask ‘questions’ that have nothing to do with the issue and then parade Trump, drooling and slurring to say anything…
I’m waiting for the information about the immigrants… did they have any legal papers at all? And the families may have some lawsuits that could be interesting, if not profitable. The clown group is playing with fire.
Wonder if some citizen rounded up in this dragnet got killed. Shouldn’t make a difference but it would.
Mr. President the best way to stop the Democratic Party from calling ICE Nazis is to get ICE to stop acting like Nazis.
I AM CALLING ON ALL DEMOCRATS TO STOP THIS RHETORIC AGAINST ICE AND AMERICA’S LAW ENFORCEMENT, RIGHT NOW!”
And I am calling on TRUMP to stop all his fanning of the flames right now. ICE deserves all the hatred it gets.
White House and GOP leaders scrambling behind the scenes to stop Epstein vote: report
President Donald Trump’s administration is growing increasingly nervous about a looming vote pertaining to the Jeffrey Epstein controversy, and White House officials are now working alongside Republican congressional leadership to prevent it.
CNN’s Annie Grayer, Sarah Ferris and Manu Raju reported Wednesday that GOP leaders are working behind the scenes to stop the bipartisan discharge petition dubbed the “Epstein Files Transparency Act” being circulated by Reps. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) and Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) from passing in the House of Representatives. After Congresswoman-elect Adelita Grijalva’s (D-Ariz.) win in a Tuesday special election, she’s expected to be the 218th member of the House to sign it once she’s formally sworn in, which would automatically bring the legislation to the floor against the wishes of House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.)
Just a little suggestion for the fascists about the theatrics of criminalizing the “left.” If you’re going to claim there was some sort of “ANT-ICE” messaging on the rounds, you might want to give your remaining two braincells a minute to come up with something a teeny more original and less lazy than literally the words “ANTI-ICE.” You dumb fucks. But let them start something so liberals can finish this shit the way we did in 1783, 1865 and 1945,
Yes. Of course, even NPR is all about “ATTACK ON LAW ENFORCEMENT!!!”, the official party line. (sigh) And they are usually so “victim’s family and their suffering” oriented…
Exactly. Incredibly, exactly the same thing, with different “atrocities”, happened in late November 2016. Go figure.
Is that photo of Trash Laughlin from her job application?
Really convenient how the malefactors of “the radical left” identified itself on its bullets.
Expect more of this kind of convenient “evidence”.
