Garland proved the “justice” system cannot deal with the threat, so I’m taking option 4, leaving the US.
There’s no way back, none of these fucks will ever be held accountable for anything after TSF pardons everyone.

Why Argentina - because they owe us one for bailing them out to the tune of $20B. The NEXT POTUS will be in a position to force Argentina to take our refuse or face economic depravation from the US and our allies.
Murdering the scofflaws is immoral, but deporting them to a new life amongst their peers in Argentina seems just and would get them out of our politics for good.
Given the precedents that the SCOTUS has set on emigration in this term alone, this also legally defensible. These MAGA people are a clear and present danger to our democracy. They need to be removed.

The DoJ was proven utterly useless even when it had professionals working there, now it’s been wrecked completely it will be vestigial at best.
TSF has 2 more years after November (assuming the world’s hugest party doesn’t happen in the meantime) to do whatever he wants as he’ll just ignore Congress and the subprimes will let him. Can’t fix scotus without a president.
He’s smashed the international order which had the USA at the top, no one trust it anymore and the alliances are broken beyond meaningful repair.
Trade made America rich, he’s broken that too, and that’s what let the US run a truly absurd budget deficit for so long, as we could just keep printing money.
We’re unfortunately in Wile E Coyote mid air moment, the drop will take a long time but the impact will be devastating.
The official end of US hegemony will be the Chinese invasion of Taiwan in June 2028.

I also think the world needs the US to come back from this, or you’re looking at a scenario where Europe finds itself increasingly isolated in a darkening world. The two most powerful military machines, two largest economies, and two largest propaganda machines, will be working to cut them down from both sides. Meanwhile, the climate crisis will get worse, not better.
They won’t hold out against that. They’ll fracture, old rivalries and grudges will resurface, waves of migrants will put more pressure on their social safety nets…
It doesn’t matter where you hide. This will hunt you, like it will everyone else.
Better to go down swinging.

The DoJ was proven quite effective. Jan. 6 prosecutions. Two sets of indictments against Trump. Stymied by SCOTUS, Cannon, and Trump (Jan. 6 pardons).
Vestigial? The DoJ can be rebuilt. But it will take a long time and enormous effort.
