I can’t distinguish the downplaying from the up-playing.

Well, you obviously don’t have herd mentality…

“The message we want you to leave with is that we are prepared for all of those uncertainties,” Mango said.

Not that it’s true or anything.

At this point, who do they think is going to take their vaccine? Not the practical science-believers, because they know the process is rushed and unsafe. And not the Trumpsters, because they don’t believe that COVID is real.

That’s because you’re trying to.

They don’t care. Moderna is going to cash in regardless of how many people accept the vaccine, the government is going to buy it all up anyways.

It’s remarkably hard to get “nobody believes you and nobody trusts you” through his very big, very powerful, very strenuous skull.

I don’t think the administration should have said this. They’re liable to panic people.

Mango? Mango? As in Mango Mussolini? Very suspicious.

Well, that is certainly reassuring! Up 'til now, I still had lingering concerns that they might actually luck into a safe and effective vaccine. Now I know that was misguided.

Their executives already cashed out.

Let’s let the Moderna execs, Trump family members, and White House/GOP staff volunteers all take the first round of vaccines, then see how they are after a month.
They want to show their dedication to science, right?

Yup. And there will be more where that came from. Grifters gotta grift.

That’s why they only need “up to 3 million doses . . . by the end of October 2020,” at which point the Trump administration can crow that it has already reached the phase where supply exceeds demand.

Well, Donnie doesn’t know up from down, so there’s that.

“Health care workers, essential workers and vulnerable populations would likely be first in line for a vaccine.”

That’s a helluva lot of people to conduct an experiment on to test the safety and efficacy of a vaccine.

I think I’ll just remain quarantined and skip the seizures, partial blindness, nausea, numbness in extremities, heart palpitations, strokes, thyroid cancer, digestive tract issues, loss of memory, rectal bleeding, migraines, constant fatigue, arthritis and erectile dysfunction if that’s OK.

They are reeling from event to event with zero knowledge how to handle any of it. They even look blank. :sunglasses:

Next up from the Peoples Party of Trump:

A "Homeopathic " Vaccine Distribution System where one drop of unproven Vaccine is mixed with 100,000 gallons of “pure water” and distributed to the unwashed masses as protection from the “China Virus” because it has been “blessed” by the Divine Dear Leader.

The profits for Trump, Kushner and his minions will be astronomical, and millions will die of the SARS-COV-2 virus, which has no political or religious affiliation.
