Trump Activates National Guard | Talking Points Memo

Not saying that this is what they have planned or even if so that it would work, but fascism never happens overnight. It’s always implemented in stages. Even the Nazis needed some time to fully tighten their grip on Germany. Thankfully, this crew is far more inept, so there’s still hope.

Shoot first. Ask questions later.

My favorite rum for my Cuba libre :yum:

Trump is the posterchild for falling upwards.

Oregon’s Willamette Valley?
Northern California’s Russian River and Sonoma coast are noted for excellent Pinot Noir as well.

Brad Limescale must have given him the latest polling results.

Honestly I’m mostly thinking of Adelsheim. Back 20, 30 years ago they were very reasonably priced and very nice to drink. As a not-overpaid magazine editor making his way in the world it was a touch of affordable luxury on the table.

Pangolins are darling, sweet creatures. I think it’s cockroach time on his next go round.

Or what if Trump was a truly horrible person in a previous life and being Donald Trump is the actual punishment? Would anyone want to be that abomination of humanity?

The first president to defect. December 2020 after losing the election.

Dumb ass DIIMFUS does not know the United States consists of 50 stares, plus District of Columbia and five (5) territories!

What a dumb, stupid and uninformed jackass!!!

A, what a fucking leader. B, exactly, what does he have to say about it? Does the Senate work or him, or their States? And hey, people from States with Republican Senators, or people who voted for Republican Senators, you’re not getting your money’s worth. Rethink, vote for Democrats.

Someone said something about evil. We got two kinds of evil, Trump is the kind of innate, genetically susceptible to vile parenting or some kind of nurture influences. McConnell, and his thugs like Cornyn and Ernst and Graham are a whole different creature, that banality of evil that gave us the third reich horrors. They are so willing to tolerate anything that lets them perpetuate their hold on power, their sick power that see’s only monetary profit as a worthy thing, that says this corporation’s greed is more important than people’s lives, the planet’s life, that thinks that nothing they do is wrong because it feeds the maw of the capitalistic machine that chews and spews us up like so much grass in a cow pasture.

Mcconnell is truly an evil man, he knows enough to know better. He is an incredibly weak man, he would crush the life from a baby if he thought it would further the corporate greed he serves, a weak and utterly empty man, a man void of the least bit of compassion or caring, sure he may mouth it or even think he really does care about people, but he deludes himself, or lies to himself, or refuses to look at himself in the mirror for fear of seeing the monster that he truly has become. He’s not psycho like Trump, no, he’s just evil.

“His administration will follow the governors…”

That’s not the way it works, you motherfucking sad sack of fucking malevolent moron mendacity, you fucking piece of shit. I thought I couldn’t hate you more than I do, but it turns out my hate for you is as bottomless as your fuckwittery is. Go catch the virus and I hope you fucking die in AGONY.

It is.

This is the part where you actually have to be grateful for the 2nd Amendment.

Better be careful. You’re gonna need those people healthy for 2020 - The Summer of Civil Unrest. A shit show, and absolutely no surprise.

No disagreement with you Matt… but your wording makes me long for the good old days when W was presidentin’

Who would have thought that W would get off the hook so quickly for being the worst president of the 21st century.

Question, what is the Federal mission, I haven’t heard of any Federal mission. I’ve heard of a lot of plans and each is different as one would expect coming from 50 different perspectives.

Yeah, see, that’s kinda my point: already deployed, Trump’s just saying the Feds will pay for what’s already happening.

Yeah, I know. It was obvious from the start and before that Trump had no idea what was involved with actually being a president, and was going to cosplay it without, you know, actually doing what presidents do. I’ve said before, years ago, a small but telling detail was when he felt stung at reports he sat on his ass and watched television for hours on end. Not so, he said, fake news, oh no, he was reading all the time. What was he reading? “Documents,” he said. He read documents. And I saw him looking all his life at images in the newspaper of real presidents sitting at the famous desk, peering at pieces of paper, and in his slow-witted mind those papers were “documents,” because that’s a very serious and grownup way to describe a piece of paper with writing on it, and that’s what presidents fucking well did, they sat and looked at those “documents” and then did other serious grownup stuff, who even knows what. It’s all of a piece. You have the time he “hereby ordered” American companies to boycott China, bring their operations back here, all that. Everyone laughed. It was ridiculous, but that’s the level of understanding he has for the role he finds himself in.

W. was a terrible president, we all know that. But he had an idea what presidents do. Some of it he obviously learned at the damn dinner table. Some he learned being a governor. He’s been in the milieu his whole life, and while no mental giant he’s certainly not as stupid or ignorant as Trump. He did horrendously bad things as president and not many good, but JFC he had a vague, general idea how the game was played. Trump has none. No clue whatsoever. All he knows is you’re the biggest of the big shots if you’re president. It pretty much starts and ends there. And here we are with a pandemic going on.

Good morning, by the way.
