A top evangelical Christian magazine on Thursday called for President Trump’s removal from office over a lack of morality and the action he took as part of the Ukraine pressure scheme, which is at the center of the impeachment inquiry.

Far left, far right, how could we possibly expect him to know the difference?

Based on the evangelicals I know, this won’t change a thing.

I think this is huge. Granted, there are plenty of evangelical Trump lovers who believe he can do no wrong. However, there are also those who support him who have some issues with how he behaves, but they lean on FOX to help form their opinions. This will rock their world. Billy Graham is a big deal around here.

I don’t know if it will be enough to turn them against Trump, but it will certainly give many people pause.

And he claimed socialist rags like CT were out to take “your religion and guns”. Remember how we almost had to stone Obama for mentioning their love of religion and guns?

It will change a lot for the magazine. I hope some Person of Faith doesn’t go all Charlie Hebdo on them.

I won’t heap praise upon an organization for only coming to this realization in the twilight of 2019, when Donald Trump’s profound defects of character have been evident for years or decades. But perhaps CT’s staff can look themselves in the mirror today. It’s two cents better than nothing.

Mark Galli will either resign, be fired, or issue a heartfelt retraction within a week.

I guess, if he won’t be reading ET ‘again’, he must previously have been a reader of a failing left-wing rag. I wonder why?

The primary benefit here is getting under dipshit’s skin. And it did that, so I’ll call it a win. Can’t imagine anything else coming from it.

Consistency of morality shouldn’t be so surprising. Happy to see it, though.

I’m gonna go read ET now, while sitting atop my pile of guns and discarded religions.

“Unfortunately, the words that we applied to Mr. Clinton 20 years ago apply almost perfectly to our current president,”

Not only is it somewhat awesome to see a pretty massive crack appear in the evangelical core of Trump’s KKKult, but holy steaming crap…Christians exhibiting sufficient self-awareness to consciously avoid hypocrisy??? I need a drink…

Recall the events after the Access Hollywood tape reveal.
“Whaaaa, what will I tell my daughter? Whaaa!”
Pause then ten days later…
“Vote for Trump.”

How about an Oval Office visit from Franklin Graham, Jerry Falwell Jr and the others.

He already announced his leaving, set for Jan. 2020.

I dunno maybe CT drew the line when a Republican compared Trump’s impeachment to the Crucifixion of Christ.

Which may explain his willingness to publish the editorial.

Surprised Franklin Graham had time between his sexcapades – and paying money to cover up his sexcapades – to tweet about this… :stuck_out_tongue:
