House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on Monday demanded that President Trump reopen Lafayette Square a week after federal police forcibly dispersed peaceful protesters ahead of his surprise photo-op in front of St. John’s Episcopal Church.
The pushback on this should continue, and it’s good that it’s being framed to make Trump look like he’s scared of the protestors. He is, of course, but he’s trying to project that he’s a strongman and in control of the situation. Every single thing that shows that he’s not, and that what he’s doing is actually against the principles of the nation, will hurt him at the polls in November.
Trump creates his own messes which then become our messes. He does not take kindly to Democrats calling on him to take specific actions. He does not take kindly to ANYONE calling on him to take specific actions. He has preconceived notions about everything which are self-serving and corrupt. He is not deserving of the office.
Only yet another poll, and it’s only early June, but…
“Little doubt an election held today would be a Biden landslide/GOP wipeout,” tweeted Cook Political Report House editor David Wasserman on Monday. “But the amount the world has changed in the past five months should caution us how much could look different five months from now.”
Don-Don is having a pissy hissy and making boom-boom in his Huggies because it has finally dawned on his spirochete-infested brain that Sean and Tucker and Laura and all the other heavy hitters at FoxToons can’t pull his ass out of this fire.
And there’s a great little story at MediaMatters about how Mike “I never met a serial killer I didn’t like” Huckabee is going to be livid - LIVID, I tells ya! - at any Republican politician who doesn’t support Fat Ass.
Sounds like Li’l Mikey is taking drama queen lessons from Lady G.
It is you! Your posts earlier today were pretty tame and I wondered, but no more. Welcome back, it’s battle stations and we need all the available scorn-power we can muster.
“I’d note that many of those decisions were not made here within the White House. It was (Attorney General) Bill Barr who made the decision to move the perimeter,” McEnany said, before adding that park police “independently” made the same decision on Monday night based on the violence that erupted in Lafayette Square last week.
Right down the memory hole; last week Barr denied responsibility for this order. Get your stories straight!
The racism isn’t working.
The misogyny isn’t working.
The homophobia isn’t working.
The xenophobia isn’t working.
The religious bigotry isn’t working.
The “owning the libs” isn’t working.
The beating down on protesters isn’t working.
The ass-kissing of psychotic police forces isn’t working.
What’s a scared-shitless pathetic reality-star president and his slobbering lapdog political party to do?
I guess they’ll have to start kicking puppies and kittens in the head, although I’m pretty sure they all do this at home already.
