They’ll all tell the Senate to pound sand, see you in court. We might gets answers to a small slice of what happened. In 2026.

… and we expect that our Republican colleagues will join us in getting to the bottom of this serious matter,” Schumer and Durbin said.

Somehow, I don’t think it’s gonna work out that way.

Those of us wondering if Garland is in on whitewashing the actions taken by his new subordinates under the previous administration should be getting the answer shortly…

Susan Collins is all for an investigation.

No, she’s not.

I wouldn’t be getting my hopes up about a Senate investigation, but the Dem majority in the House should be able to do it with subpoena powers. Especially since House reps were the targets.

Garland would only be involved if someone in the former DOJ broke the law in doing this. The DOJ can pursue leaks of classified information, so maybe no laws were broken?

Keep exposing the rot, the stench, the shabby foundation that is the Republican party. Drag them kicking and screaming in front of the American people and bring down the hammer.

So which strategy will it be this time?
“Golly, I can’t remember nothin’, honest!”
Or, “How dare you! I like beer”?

Hmmmmmmm, let’s see, justifying fascism under oath could get a bit tricky, especially when one is dealing with ardent liars, skillful manipulators, and those willing to betray their country.

Proceed with haste, please.

The Democrats vowed that the committee would “vigorously investigate this abuse of power,” and called on the Justice Department to provide more information on the explosive revelations, which were first reported by the New York Times on Thursday night.

I’m grappling with the word “abuse of power” or is that a phrase? I’m grappling with that too.

Poor Tim Apple. Caught between an unscrupulous asshole and a subpoena. Trump sure loves the tech companies when they fall in line, doesn’t he?

One wonders which GQPer on the relevant committee will sign off on the subpoenas since the terms of the 50/50 split in the Senate require at least one Republican to vote in favor of the subpoenas.

I would be shocked if they did testify. Only the certainty of incarceration would compel them to show up - and then they’ll dodge and lie - and whatta you gonna do about it? That’s right… not a damn thing…
If we learned anything from these past 4 years is that one can ignore Congress with impunity.
