Top Democrats Fear Violence Toward Omar After Trump Rally

I don’t think I could, but Omar should go to Trumps next rally and walk right up to the stage letting everyone know she is there. Show the who world what kind of man Trump is.

It’s not as if the country has a gun culture and a history of political violence…/s

This is the same crowd that applauded the James Byrd murder. This is the same crowd that would bring their children to the lynchings of black people.

Like how they thought you could shoot those pellets INDOORS without danger. Wonder what the original “Gun Safety” edition of the NRA would have thought and whether the manufacturer ws being oblivious, satirical or just ultimately tone deaf with the name?

Trump would not say a word, only smile.

Great questions!

I’m still trying to answer why I was given a unasked-for BB Gun for Xmas when I was about eight years old; I can’t remember if it was a pump-action or used CO2 cartridges. I do know that I shot it for a couple of days until I hit a Blue Jay and killed it. (Yes, I dutifully buried it in a shoe box.) That was the last time I shot a gun.

Democrats should get out in front of this now and loudly state that, yes! -he’s absolutely inciting violence. They should make it clear he will be held accountable (without specifying how exactly) if only to lay down a marker and hopefully make him think twice. If the worst happens, we can draw a direct line from his behavior to the resulting actions.

It’s so easy for a coward like Trump to instigate when he has the very best protection the world has to offer.

And the cost of security should be deducted from the Executive Branch’s budget.

Indeed, and to a degree we should all be fearful. Trump and his cohort have been preaching a vile lesson in fascist hatred since the infamous escalator ride in 2015. The GOP supporters have bought into it hook, line, and sinker. Trump’s “base” of supporters have either raced to drink of Trump’s poisonous kool-ade or have willingly allowed themselves to be seduced by his evil siren song.

Trump rails at Democrats for allegedly “hating” America, but in reality it is Trump and his followers who truly hate America. They hate everything that has truly made America great: pluralism, diversity, individual freedom, community, innovation, tolerance, and the embrace of all people who wish to join us in this great experiment in representative democracy. Trump and his followers hate all of that, and given the opportunity, they will destroy it all and render this great nation into something the world has not seen since the 1930s & 40s. This must be stopped.

Yep, cut out all the golf and it would be so easy to afford protection for these women.

Oh, I would think it will be much worse than that: it’ll be a lot of handwringing accompanied by, well, she shouldn’t have been so vocal - she brought it on herself. She deserved it. Honest, I can see too many Americans taking that opinion with any of the squad that would meet an end.

Well we will revisit the Gabby Gifford’s shooting, the Republicans will try and bring up Steve Scalise, and Wayne LaPierrer will stand up and sell more guns. So that’s the playbook except this time, hopefully, Alex Jones will be living under a highway overpass and no one better dare bring up “crisis actors”.

And the Right Wing Wurlitzer will start with the snowflake nonsense and do you need a safe space and well, maybe she should just know her place and shut her mouth, followed by she should go back where she came from.

Nothing will stop this. Absolutely nothing. Because that’s what this country has become. It is what the media lives for because imagine the revenue from the round-the-clock broadcasts they’ll make…

Yeah, no. There is no shame on the Right. Of course, getting out in front of this would be the correct thing to do, but the laws of unintended consequences would probably heighten the anger these people feel and cause them to do the unthinkable.

And even then, their attitudes wouldn’t change.

We can’t control who they are or what they do, but we can control our actions and our behavior. And since we have the moral and legal high ground, we should be loud and proud about it.

They’re a minority of Americans, let’s not forget that. We should engage with the people who are reasonable and work with them to turn this country into one that reflects our values and high standards. And we should also ensure the judiciary upholds its oath to the rule of law.

Trump should’ve been indicted for felony Incitement to Riot a long time ago. He should be indicted today and locked up. He is what is going to trigger the civil war, and something like this will do it. I’m inclined myself to take up arms at this point to save innocents like Ilmar and millions of us from Trump’s impact. How the civil war starts, proceeds and concludes is reasonably, rationally described in great detail in Greer’s astounding book “Twilight’s Last Gleaming”, and last gleaming it is …
